I’ve got about seventy pages to type up in Book Two. I’ve indexed the names of the first one hundred pages in Katie’s large Ringwald/Nolan genealogy binder. The index is six pages long so far, and that’s just the generational charts and the Ringwald side of the family. I’ve beaten all eight gyms in Pokémon SoulSilver and am working on leveling up my Pokémon so I can attempt the Continue reading
Happy National Library Week!
Here’s the banner Sandy & I made for the week, and we have “get to know your library” signs up everywhere. I’m expecting a busy week!
Squeeeee!
Now I just have to finish typing “Two’s Company, Twenty-five’s an army” before making this one available to the public.
Halfway point
I’ve hit the halfway point in typing up the second novel in the Solennelle & O series. I come to this conclusion based on the fact that there are 480 pages written in notebooks and I’ve just typed up to page 243. I’m taking a brief break mostly just to let my neck get back into a more natural position. Typing from the notebooks means looking to the side all the time as I type to read what’s written on the page. It gives me a kink in my neck after a while, as you can imagine. Still, I’m happy to have gotten to the halfway point. I don’t guess I’ll have this ready for publication anytime soon though. I’ve been far too distracted by watching war documentaries, reading manga, and crocheting. The sinus trouble thanks to the spring isn’t helping my typing much either. The headaches brought on by sinus pressure just behind my eyes make me not want to stare at a monitor all that long. Still, any progress is good. A couple more Tylenol means a couple more chapters. Maybe I’ll get another chapter churned out tonight before joining the ill husband in bed.
Second Time’s a Charm
The third book in the Solennelle & O series has been published…sort of. It’s up on Lulu.com but it’s not accessible via public means. It’s up there only so I know it’s uploaded and in working condition so I can get a copy to edit from. It’s not even technically done. This will be the only copy where there are no quotations heading each chapter. I simply didn’t have the time to find Continue reading
131 pages
Looking at 131 pages of 10-pt Times New Roman font with 0.5″ margins could be pretty daunting, but now that I’ve finished editing all 131 pages, it’s not so looming. Of course, it’ll take a while to make all these changes on the computer. I have noticed there are more corrections in the early part of the document than in the latter parts, but that’s probably because I had really gotten Continue reading
Happy birthday, Tommy!
Hooray! The little bro is one year older today! I know Tommy’s planning on going out to eat today, and I hope he has a good time. We had fun chatting on the porch yesterday for a while. I hope he gets M&Ms from someone. They’re a must. 🙂 At any rate, it’s like one in the morning right now, so I’m gonna keep this short so I can pass out ’cause I gotta work in the morning. Typing typing typing
I just finished typing up the contents of the first notebook for my second novel, Two’s Company, Twenty-five’s an Army. It’s in three notebooks, one of which is only half full. It’s a total of 480 pages, though those pages aren’t the full-sized notebook page of 8 1/2″ by 11″. These are more like 5″ by 8″. Small pages. So there are 192 pages per notebook, and with the first one typed up, Continue reading
Happy birthday, Baby Doll!
Happy birthday, Ian! I’ve already given you your birthday M&Ms, so you’ve gotten at least that much of the celebration out of the way. 🙂 I know you’re not much of one to celebrate birthdays, but I thought I’d at least get a shout out on the page so everyone else can celebrate it for you! Happy birthday!
Spring display
Isn’t it bright? I call the butterflies “bookerflies” because they have titles and call numbers on them.
