I can’t decide whether the temperature outside is nice or not. When I got up this morning around eleven (after going to bed around 7:30), I headed out for the post office. I decided to walk because it’s not even a mile away from here to there. At first, it felt pretty cool outside. Then as my unexercised corpse plodded along to the square, it felt a lot warmer (rather I felt a lot Continue reading

Moo
Bleh. I think I must’ve messed up my GI tract somehow over the weekend ’cause I spent most of yesterday in the restroom (when I wasn’t unconscious). I’d even kicked Rook out of here early just in case he got some of my germs on him or his stuff and then spread it to Mom or Aunt Pamela. I figured Dad’d be OK though. Usually is when bugs roam around. So fun day yesterday Continue reading
Anniversary
After much confusion and debate, Ian and I decided that this is our wedding anniversary. How we keep forgetting, who knows. Oh wait! I know: this was an arbitrary date we picked for an arbitrary ceremony so the government would recognize us as a couple. Cynical much? Yeah. At any rate, this would be our… Seventh? No, sixth wedding anniversary. That sounds right. I think. Continue reading
Choice
So I’m sitting here on the couch watching Pump up the Volume with Rook while eating a bunch of breadsticks and I got to thinking about choice. It happens a lot, actually–thinking about choice–pretty much because that’s a huge part of the philosophy by which I live my life. So at any rate, I’m thinking about choices and how fascinating the power of choice is. I mean, ’cause if Continue reading
Neat!
Not to so quickly push my prior post out of the way, but I had a few thoughts and wanted to blather a bit. At any rate, I dunno if any of you read the husband’s page, but he’s got a fun little debate going on in the comments of a few of his posts about politics (which is funny ’cause he’s really not all that political just like I’m not) and in response to some comments about libertarians Continue reading
Groggy
I know I have a psychotic sleep schedule, what with going to bed between three and five in the morning and then having insomnia mess up whatever sleep I do get, but another sleep problem I have is with dreaming. There are some nights when I dream so vividly and intensely, that waking up in the morning is disorienting and more sluggish than usual. Last night was one of those nights Continue reading
Minority
I’m currently watching the RNC and I’ve spent most of the day watching the DNC bits I missed last week. So far, I’ve seen three black people in the crowds at the RNC today. Can’t say that I’ve seen any other minorities. Ooh! There was a fourth black person just now. I think I saw an Asian American too. I haven’t even seen a lot of young people so far except for the young Continue reading
Screamer
So I’m watching the Republican National Convention and there’s this guy somewhere in the crowd who just keeps screaming. I mean screaming! Now that Ian pointed it out to me, it’s just about all I can hear. It’s distracting, to say the least. I’ve never quite gotten the obsession with screaming while other people are talking, but maybe I was just brought up better than this guy. I Continue reading
Bad internet
The internet was down all day today up until about an hour ago. Without the web, I couldn’t check my comics or webpage or anyone else’s webpages. I also couldn’t play WoW. Since I felt like playing a game, I installed the Sims again on my machine and started playing. Almost immediately, I wished I had the internet to download a patch that would keep the neighbor’s pets Continue reading
Unsleeping
I should be unconscious right now. I’m not. It’s something like five thirty in the morning. I’ve just read my comics (not many update on Sundays) and putzed around on Etsy some more. Kitty’s asleep (or trying to be) behind me. Ian’s totally conked out on the bed where he has been for hours. I tried to go to sleep around three. After about two hours of lying there thinking about stuff Continue reading
