Indecisive temperature

I can’t decide whether the temperature outside is nice or not. When I got up this morning around eleven (after going to bed around 7:30), I headed out for the post office. I decided to walk because it’s not even a mile away from here to there. At first, it felt pretty cool outside. Then as my unexercised corpse plodded along to the square, it felt a lot warmer (rather I felt a lot warmer; I need to take long walks more often) but there was a cool breeze now and again. Then when I got back to the house, it felt cooler outside than inside, probably because outside there was a breeze carrying my sweat away whereas the only breezes in the house are directly under the ceiling fans. So I decided to sit outside with Kitty and crochet. After about ten minutes, I remembered that while there may be a breeze outside in general, specifically, it’s not on our front porch. Our porch is in the lee of the building, leaving it pretty still and stagnant. So I decided to come back in the house where the AC is. Neh, not much cooler in here. The temperatures seemed about the same, actually. So I killed the AC, opened almost all the windows and . . . it feels about the same. Whee. So I’m thinking that the best thing to do would be to move the computer from the couch (our couch has a penchant for retaining heat very well) to the bowl chair thingie in the middle of the room under the ceiling fan. Sure, I’ll have to don a hat or headband to keep the little stray hairs around my forehead and face from driving me crazy since they tickle my face in the breeze of the fan, but that’s no biggie. So here’s to a cooler day making Halloween toys (I’m going to try to come up with a pattern for a bat), organizing my craft stuff, and probably playing the Sims. Maybe when I fix lunch, a cold one will top off the cool factor nicely. 🙂

    post office trip:

Any chance you went to the post office to pick up a package that I sent to you? 🙂

    Actually:

I received a package from you yesterday (I was gonna post about it later once I took some pics along with more Etsy pics…which I still haven't done, lol), and thank you very much! It's so cute! I can't remember seeing a snail stuffed animal since I was a kid and they were making Glo Worms. Kitty doesn't seem to like him much though, hehe.

I hit the post office today to send out a couple packages I meant to mail over the weekend but wasn't feeling up to doing. Hopefully their recipients enjoy the gifts as much as I enjoy mine. 😉

    silly kitty:

Yah, that's cats for you…mine only likes stuffed animals filled with catnip! Did you read the tag that was around the neck of the snail? Isn't that a neat idea?

Can't wait to see the Etsy pics! 🙂

Kitty gets punch drunk on catnip ;):

I did see the tag; it took me a while to figure out what it was. When I hit the website, I went ahead and named the star "Kitty F. Doyle." 🙂 I put Kitty's name on just about everything, like when you donate a dollar to a place and they have you sign your name on a card to hang on the wall–I always write Kitty's name on it, lol. Thanks again for the cute snail. 🙂 I'm about to put pics of him on-line in my next post.
