Web comics

I read a lot of web comics. Check out the massive amount of comics compared to friends&#039/relatives&#039 sites on my links page if you don&#039t believe me. I wonder if I like them because I just need that much humor in my life. Maybe I like them because I like art and witty uses of the language. Maybe I just like comics. While I&#039ve been writing poetry far longer, I have been known to doodle my own comics once in a great while. It&#039s fun. I just suck at drawing. I suppose, however, that one thing web comics have taught me is that you don&#039t have to draw well to make a good comic. I know that this site is titled &#034Writing in Green&#034 (I call it WiG for short), but I&#039ve got some artwork up as well as my poetry and part of my novel (which, yes, I have been meaning to work on for quite some time now). I dunno. I&#039ve archived several web comics in the past week (part of what I&#039ve been doing with all my free time at work), and it just makes me want to draw again. Not draw as in &#034Ooh I&#039ll start my own web comic and everyone will love me and I will r0x0rs!&#034 Hell no. I just find it cathartic to pop out a pic now and again, which is what I&#039ve spent part of my morning doing (other than reading about CSS). Below is my first Doodle done entirely in Paintshop because I don&#039t have Photoshop on my machine here at work. I think it turned out okay. Who knows? Maybe we&#039ll see more comics on my page now and again, though I can&#039t garuntee (sp?) they&#039ll be funny at all. Just Doodles. Enjoy!
