Well, technically, I'm here at the office again this week, though I'm not overly sure as to why. I spent the better part of the early morning reading web comics (note the new one on my links page with others to possibly follow), then I went to the Coffee Grounds with Brad and Debbie H. (We've got two Debbies here, similar to the multiple Debs at the library) for quite a long time. Heck, we didn't get back from there until nearly eleven, and then it was time for most people here to start getting ready for lunch. I'm still here despite the complete lack of other people because I couldn't come up with anything better to do on my lunch hour. I thought about dragging the poor husband in, but since the Commons is pretty much closed, I didn't know where we'd eat unless we drove somewhere. So I decided to wait out my lunch hour while surfing the net for information on apple snails until people (or at least someone) comes back and I'll leave for the rest of the afternoon. Heather, my officemate, left at the same time as when we went for coffee 'cause she wasn't feeling well and was tired of being here after an hour and a half. It has been quiet, that's for sure. I just signed for a couple packages from the UPS guy 'cause there's no one else here. I think there's a student worker out at the front desk, but he has no authority making me in charge of the place. Scary. Very scary.
So I found out that the reason why Cthulu Tarzan has a furry growth of algae on his back is because he's near sunlight which promotes such growth. I also found out that it shouldn't harm him though. I do need to run by Wally-world or something for a Ph (or is it pH? Or PH? Or ph?) tester to check the water because I think it's too low and is making his shell brittle. I also found out that he'd most likely eat green beans and fresh spinach leaves, which would help out on the calcium side. He's such a cutie! He's been hanging out next to the filter all morning letting it muss up the hairy algae on his back. I think he thinks it's punk-looking or something. Silly snail. Of course, if I start feeding him spinach and he gets huge, I'm going to have to append to his name and call him Cthulu Tarzan Popeye or something.
Okaaaaaaay. So I think everyone can tell that I'm getting bored outta my gourd, so I should probably start thinking about gathering my things and be ready to head out when somone gets back. Too bad they all went out to eat together at the Sartoga. That probably means they'll be yapping for quite a while. <Sigh> Oh well. I'll live. Maybe I'll call and pester my man a while to kill time. 🙂 Or find another web comic. That sounds good too. Ooh! I hear keys! Later!

Toothbrush:
If you ever want to get rid of the algae just use a toothbrush. BTW I got a new magnetic algae cleaner, cost a few bucks but so worth the effort I'll have to show it to you some time. Funny thing about my tank denizens I think I walked in on two hermit crabs screwing this morning. That was messed up.
What happened to Kitty?:
All we ever hear about is the snail anymore… *winks*
LOL:
What do you think they have been feeding the snail? Sorry, I couldn't resist.
However, I think it's a good thing we hear about Cthulu. I'd be more concerned about lack of information on him. Especially, now that I know what escargot tastes like. :p
Ninja Assassin:
Oh, Kitty's fine. Still trying to kill me on a fairly regular basis. She has been getting more and more defiant about trying to escape when I leave in the mornings because it's spring. Silly Kitty.
