Infocom

I’ve been pretty busy lately what with taking on a bunch of extra shifts, but so far I have tomorrow off barring being called in. I can’t say that working a lot has kept me from posting, though. On the contrary, I’ve had a bunch of fascinating and funny experiences that would make for amusing posts, but by the time I get home I’m just happy to sit on my butt and pop in the next Continue reading

FINALLY!

I finally finished the last chapter of Book Three! It took me forever. Seriously, writing fight scenes sucks ass. I really don’t think I want to write any more fight scenes ever, but I know that saying I won’t write any fight scenes ever is impossible. After all, I was thinking about having a magical duel in Book Six. Oh, there’s that and the army that attacks in Book Two. Go figure. At least Continue reading

Luckily, I have a big mouth

Most people either wouldn’t consider having a big mouth “lucky” unless they’ve also got a dirty mind. Regardless, what I mean by the title is that to a lot of people, it would seem that I’m biting off a lot more than I can chew when it comes to my book projects. So far, I have three completed books: Two Minds Are Better Than One (now in large print), Zombie Cookbook, Continue reading

Strange hobbies

Soon at the library, we’ll be hiring three new pages. One of those positions will be the position I’m vacating come May when I become full-time. I was thinking about how long it’ll take to train them and how their training might go more smoothly if they had some handy reference cheat-sheets to carry around so that they will feel more confident about their new jobs. Therefore, as librarianship Continue reading

Terrifying

In a terrifyingly short amount of time, I should be finished with Book Three. Scary. This is the novel that I started writing during NaNoWriMo and managed to get just over 100,000 words written during the month of November. I’m now up to 131,135 words and have only two and a half chapters to write. That basically tells you how much of it was completed during the event Continue reading

Rook, the Editor

Since Rook has been up at our place all week to spend his spring break enjoying high speed internet, he has been here since I got my copy of Two Minds Are Better Than One. Not long after opening the package and marveling at the wonder of having my own book in my hands (not like the thesis which was homework before it was a book), Rook grabbed the novel and started Continue reading

Published again!

It’s crazy, but I’ve published yet another book. 🙂 This one is the Zombie Cookbook that I started last fall. The text has been done for a few days now, and I’ve spent the weekend drawing pictures and having Ian edit them to put in the document. Mind you, I draw like crap, but the images are cartoony and supposed to look kind of stupid. Therefore, I guess it’s all right. Ian made the cover Continue reading

An exciting Friday

Yesterday was quite the adventure. I would have posted about it yesterday, but I was busy and then went to sleep early because I was pretty exhausted only to constantly wake up due to a persistent cat who kept rolling around on my arthritic legs so I couldn’t get or stay comfortable. So it’s 2:30 in the morning, and I’m posting now. 🙂 Of course, being 2:30 in the morning, this post Continue reading
