Published again!

It’s crazy, but I’ve published yet another book. 🙂 This one is the Zombie Cookbook that I started last fall. The text has been done for a few days now, and I’ve spent the weekend drawing pictures and having Ian edit them to put in the document. Mind you, I draw like crap, but the images are cartoony and supposed to look kind of stupid. Therefore, I guess it’s all right. Ian made the cover Continue reading

Spring things

Well, Spring is here, so that means enjoying the warmer weather (I hate the cold) and getting used to everything being green again (finally). I actually am not the biggest fan of Spring because the weather is inconsistent (thus my joints are consistently achy) and since the sun is just now out more, the SAD is off-kilter so I’m sporadically hyper. Regardless, I’m enjoying the sun and Continue reading

Published! (again)

Woohoo! After much fighting with the word processor and the cover creator on Lulu’s page, I finally have uploaded the paperback version of my first fiction novel, Two Minds Are Better Than One. I think I’m going to go back and make a hardback version available too, which means more fighting with their cover creator and all that, but it’s worth it. So exciting! Now I just need to Continue reading

♣ Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ♣

Today is also the Republic of Ireland’s national holiday. 🙂 I got a bunch of fun St. Patrick’s Day stuff from Aunt Pamela and wore some of it to work today. I had made a bunch of shamrock and four-leaf-clover pins for my co-workers so that no one had to go without green as well. I think I saw more green in the library today both on patrons and staff than ever before. Hooray! My Continue reading

Titles

I stink at titles. I really do. I just can’t come up with titles for ninety percent of the things that I write. In my creative writing classes, I had to come up with titles for my short stories and poems (and when you’ve got over three hundred poems, that’s a LOT of titles!) and always felt that whatever I came up with just fell short. My titles weren’t witty or insightful or even altogether that Continue reading

Non-fiction fun

I already have one book up on Lulu.com that has been published, namely my Master’s thesis, and I’ve finished writing one novel–the first in a series of nine. It makes me pretty happy to have written two books so far in my life. I’d been forced to put my novels up for about a year now, but I may get a chance to start work on them again soon. However, a project that I’d really like to Continue reading

Published!

Remember how I recently was putzing around with my thesis to try and get it edited for publication on Lulu.com? Well, last week, I finished editing and Ian finished the cover, and I sent it to Lulu to be published. I ordered a copy for myself and decided I wouldn’t post it until we got a copy to make sure everything was in order. Well, I got my copy today in the mail and am now Continue reading

Science and Sherlock

Whee, another update! Since Rook has been up, I’ve been playing an excessive amount of WoW so I could group with him (We gave him a 10-day free trial account since he’s up for the week.) so I haven’t been doing much other on-line stuff. One thing I’ve done off-line is read the entirety of The Science of Sherlock Holmes by E.J. Wagner. I checked it out at the library Wednesday Continue reading
