Yeesh

Saturday night, my page got hit with eight spam messages that got through the filtering system. So I did what I usually do and went into the backend to delete them then turn on the captcha for each of my recent posts to prevent more getting through. That pretty much fixes it, for the most part, but sometimes much older posts without the captchas get hit so I have to go digging around Continue reading

Chapter 14

Tada! Chapter 14! It didn’t actually take all that long to finish typing this one up; I had already done about half of it already. (Though now this means I don’t have any of chapter 15 to type up…vicious cycle.) Actually, what took me so long to get this posted was coming up with a quote. I think that I’m going to have the same problem as Asprin (my favorite author) and end up Continue reading

Catching up

Lessee, haven’t posted in a while, or at least, I haven’t posted anything significant in a while. I woke up this morning to find eight spam messages on eight different posts, so since I was in the back-end deleting all of those, I figured that since I was back here, I’d post. Ouch. I’m not sure we have enough goat wrap in the house to cover both my arms, but it’s probably worth the attempt to find it all. My elbows are threatening to cease connecting my forearms to my upper arms. My forearms feel like the muscles are attempting to extricate themselves from both skin and bone. My wrists are amazingly still functioning albeit with a degree Continue reading

Goodbye, Grandma Doyle

Grandma Doyle passed away yesterday afternoon at around a quarter after four. Leslie called Ian about twenty minutes after it happened, and he came out on the porch where I was writing to tell me after getting off the phone. This was not unexpected, however. The nursing home had called Ian’s parents to tell them that she probably wasn’t going to make it much longer, and I think that Continue reading

Please don’t eat this!

I had started texting Sarah because I saw a news show while flipping through the channels that had a breaking news event where a town in Pennsylvania was evacuated because of a chemical leak, and I was curious to know if this place was near Sarah’s previous hometown of Erie. (It’s not, so her friends should be fine, and apparently people in that town got out fast enough to Continue reading
