Wrote out

I think NaNoWriMo took most all my words out of me. I haven’t much been in the mood to type, though I highly suspect a large portion of this hesitation is due to having picked up WoW once more with a fervor. I enjoy the new system of achievements where you do silly little things like traveling around and collecting pets and crafting pointless things. Tonight’s play will be Continue reading

Crochet and WoW

Well, seeing as how it’s six in the morning and I’ve yet to go to bed, I keep thinking of what I did last night as the things I’ve done today despite it being yesterday. Regardless, I really didn’t do much yesterday after work except experiment with various crochet patterns–I’m working on gingerbread people–and watching various documentaries on Netflix while doing so. After Continue reading

Library tidbits

There are a few random things from work on Friday that I meant to post but didn’t get around to because I spent Friday night and Saturday morning cleaning up my craft stuff in the living room for the Lushbaughs to have places to sit while they were down Saturday and Sunday, and then Sunday night I went on a writing spree. Now that I’m seated and not helping Rook with his Continue reading

Grey day for writing

It’s pretty grey and drizzly outside today which means it’s a good day for staying inside and doing something from the comfort of a warm couch with an afghan on my lap and some hot cocoa beside me. That sounds awesome, only I go in to work within the hour and won’t get home until four, so my novel writing time will just have to wait until then. I can’t say that it bothers me too Continue reading

Scarves and words

Well, two days ago, Ian and I picked up some yarn so I could make him a scarf. In the store, the color was a very muted green-gray, like a sage but pale and aged. Then when we got the yarn home, it looked pretty much gray like a battleship gray. I started making it into a scarf the night we got it, and yesterday morning, I picked it back up only to realize that the color had changed Continue reading

Achy feet

Well yesterday was my first eight-hour shift at the library. I’ve been really good at remembering to take Aleve for my arthritis daily for the past week, so my joints were doing just fine. My feet still hurt, however. After walking home, I looked at my phone which has a built-in pedometer and it said I’d taken over 12,000 steps. I don’t know that it registers every step very well though Continue reading

50k!!!

WOOOOOOOO! I just hit 50,000 words in my novel! I know it’s late and all, but I had a lot of coffee–some of it with marshmallows which wasn’t very good though I like Sarah’s idea of whipped cream in coffee–so I’m not tired and I’m just having to go to the bathroom all the time anyway ’cause I drink a ton of water and I have a bladder the size of a walnut or something else Continue reading

40k

40,000 words! Woohoo! If I were doing the minimum number of words necessary to reach 50k by the 30th, then the 40k mark would be on day 24. Needless to say, I’m pretty far ahead. 😉 Now if I could just get my characters to behave. They keep sitting around having random conversations or pulling pranks on each other out of the blue. They’ve come up with some choice Continue reading
