*Ahem.* Sorry, I can’t stop smiling. I’m so happy! I stayed up late last night watching everything, and when they announced the results, I actually got tears in my eyes. All day while shelving books and straightening shelves, I just kept thinking about how happy I am that Obama is going to be our next president. McCain is a good man, and I admire and respect him. His concession speech was praiseworthy and very well done. Had he won, I would have been personally disappointed but happy for those who had voted for him that their candidate made it. Instead, I’m happy because Barack Obama won. 🙂 Still can’t stop smiling. I’m even happier to see that not only did my county vote for him (along with my previous county of Vigo), but that my state voted for him as well! Too much happiness. I can’t work on the novel like this–it’d turn out too chipper, lol. I think I’ll have to play Animal Crossing for a while (oh, and Dad, I found that I have all three of those shirts!). All in all, I think I’m feeling optimistic for a change though part of my mind is nagging me that I’ve done something with the majority… How am I supposed to remain fringe like this? 😉 Just kidding. At any rate, I wanted to say I’m proud of everyone who voted (regardless of how you voted) for supporting our country. Hooray for democracy! I’m gonna go smile some more.
