Yesterady was a good day. First off, Ian and I went to the Doyles to hang out with just about everyone: Fred, Francie, Leslie, Jeff, Jill, Troy, Cameron, Erin, and a couple cats. We had fun hanging out with everyone just chit-chatting, and Dad made steaks which made the chit-chatting a little more difficult because everyone was too busy drooling over the great dinner. I think I need to learn how to make steaks. Ian agrees. It was fun catching up with everyone and just hanging out. We’ll see them all (including Alan’s family) on Saturday because the Doyles are having a big family picture taken. The last time one was taken, it was before Cameron was born and before Ian and I were married. Been a while!

Also something I accomplished yesterday were fifteen black granny squares for the sort-of afghan I’ve been working on for probably a year now. It seriously is getting closer to done, and these fifteen squares will be enough to cover one entire edge. I have the feeling I’ll be needing more black yarn before it’s all said and done with. I’m going to take a break from the afghan (again) to make a blue scarf for Cameron so he has one to wear for his ice skating escapades this summer. It’s not easy to find a scarf in the middle of the year, after all. Hooray for crocheting!

Once back from the Doyles’, I hopped on WoW because I was so close to getting my main character up to level 70. I was within 20%, and I figured that by doing about three or four quests, I should get enough experience to level up. Finally around two this morning, I hit 70. So exciting! Then I dumped a massive 121 gold pieces into training for skills for level 70 (and level 69; apparently I could train at that level but I’m used to training only on the even levels). Now Ian and I are going to run around together to try and clear up my quest log some so that I can do the daily quests with him now that I’m level appropriate. Exciting!

So all in all, yesterday was a great day, which then leaked over into today. Today I did something that I haven’t done in a long time: I got my hair trimmed. It looks better now (I think) though it really wasn’t much of a change from the one-layer mess it was before. Now it’s simply even and has a little more layering at the bottom. Not a big enough change to be worth posting a picture. It’s still just boring old me. Now if I had gotten a lot taken off (not going to happen: I’m saving up for Locks of Love) or gotten it styled all cute or something, I’d consider putting a picture up. As it is, it’s just a long-overdue haircut. And now it’s time for some caffeine and WoW. Hope you have a great day too!
