Don’t eat what I eat

Well, yesterday not long after posting, I was digging around in my purse for some gum to get rid of the taste of vomit in my mouth left over from puking up the potato soup. I found some Skittles and ate four of them before finding my gum and chewing on it for a while. Not long after the Skittles, I threw them up too. Needless to say, I was getting really tired of not being able to keep anything down, so I ate a few saltines and fell asleep until just before Ian came home. He made me some incredibly bland rice (at my request) which stayed down all night. Hooray for food!

So this morning when I got up, I figured I’d avoid taking the cough syrup for a while (I suspect that’s what was making me so nauseous because of the sheer amount of dizziness which followed after taking it) and try eating something with more flavor. Of course, for me, more flavor generally doesn’t mean good flavor. I just kind of find things I like and mix them all together. So I wandered into the kitchen and grabbed the following: tuna, bacon bits, garlic powder, pepper, and a jar of whole pickles. Yeah, you can figure out where that led to. I mixed the crunchy bacon bits into the undrained tuna (technially, albacore but I can barely tell a difference) then sprinkled on some garlic powder and ground some pepper over it. Then I chopped up little slices of a pickle and added that, sprinkling on some juice from the half of the pickle I didn’t chop up (and then ate). I stirred it up and ate half of it on crackers then just ate the rest with a fork. Kitty was confused because she could smell tuna but when I offered her the bowl to smell, she was offended. Ian woke up not long after I finished it (about three minutes after I started this post), and he appeared quite offended by the smell as well. My nose is clogged up because I haven’t taken that terrifying cough syrup since yesterday afternoon. For as much insane flavor as I stuck in the “tuna salad,” I really couldn’t taste it that much. I’m tempted to just go eat a palmful of bacon bits. Mmmm bacon bits. 😀 I’m gonna let my food digest for a little longer before taking that horrible-tasting, dizziness-inducing cough poison. I mean, syrup.
