It’s unofficial

Well, unofficially, I have the job at LGT teaching full-time as both Language Arts and French teacher. It’s unofficial because there’s still some paperwork to go through, I still need to meet with the principal, and there’s some CPR training left to do, but all that should go smoothly. I’ll be getting my emergency license for Language Arts from Oakland City College, and I’ll be getting my emergency license for French from Indiana State University, and the Department of Education says that’s fine, whatever. After spending much of Wednesday on the phone and Thursday running around doing errands for all this, by Friday, I was tired and just wanted to sleep. Mom, Sarah, Aunt Pamela, Simon and I all came up to the Haute Friday morning, went out to eat, and then they left so Ian and I could conk out, which we did very quickly. Kitty had missed me terribly and wouldn’t leave me alone, which was fine because I missed her too. Ian missed me even more and expressed that by moving half of the furniture in the living room and not sleeping. Today’s going to be spent organizing some stuff to get it ready to go to LGT this up-coming week since I’ll be going down to complete all this paperwork toward the end of the week. I just woke up from eight hours of sleep (a real oddity for me) and unless I get caffeine in my system soon, I could fall back to sleep here on the loveseat. Tired. It’s only going to get crazier, so I’d better rest up now. Still, I thought I’d let everyone (all five or six of you who read this) know that I more-or-less have the job, and that this is going to be quite an adventure. I’m already planning some insanity for the students–French and English alike. Poor Simon, lol.
