I work too fast

It’s not even noon and I’ve run out of work to do. I had a big stack of folders on my desk to use for making students’ schedules, and I’ve gone through all of them already. I guess this means it’s time to cross stitch and read web comics since I didn’t bring anything else in with me. I didn’t expect to be done so soon. This makes me wonder about the rest of the office. If I can get all this work done really quickly, why can’t everyone else? They must have other stuff to do or meetings or something. Otherwise, we’d be superproductive and have lots of free time to help take over the world. Or make it a better place. Whichever. Whatever it is, I think I might be too productive. No wonder everyone always dumps random stupid projects on me. Dammit, I wish I were slower. Or stupider. Or lazier. Or more apathetic. Hmm. Nah, I’d rather be the good worker that I am. After all, I’d hate to be bored. At least if people are constantly dumping projects on me, I have something to do all day. Unless I get it done really fast like today. Damn, dilemmas. Oh well. Time for cross stitching and comics until more folders come in.

    Well actually:

With two or three exceptions they have gotten used to feeding at the university trough and have realized that they don't have to do a fast or even a good job, just half ass it and everything will turn out fine because the administration and students are just as lazy and apathetic.
