Right, so my life is far too complicated right now. In addition to worrying about the work I&#039m doing on this paper for the conferences Macheak and I are going to try to go to, I now have to worry about just work in general at my job! See, the thing is this: Brad from the tutoring center called me this morning and offered me a position working at the Student Academic Services Center as a temporary staff member. What this means is that I&#039ll be getting paid ten dollars an hour. While this may not seem like very
much to you guys (the three or four of you who actually come here), this is huge for me &#039cause well, I&#039ve never been paid that much before. I was talking it over with my supervisor at the library this afternoon, and she brought up the point that I may not be able to work as both a staff member and as a student. Suckage. I mean, it was going to suck enough losing hours at the library &#039cause they can always use my help, but it would suck more if I just couldn&#039t work there the rest of the summer at all! So we talked to more people who called people and there&#039s e-mails going out to other people and we&#039re gonna be waiting for e-mails tomorrow morning to know what&#039s going on… Yeah,
insane. This is so much more complicated than I expected it to be, but then again, I&#039m not a business/finance major; what do I know about payrolls and bureaucracy? It&#039s more like &#034bureaucrazy&#034 if you ask me.

Hopefully, we&#039ll get e-mails in tomorrow morning to work more of this out on the payroll end. I just have to decide what I want to work at each place. Brad said that I could work 20 hours if I wanted to, which would cut my hours at the library down by half. I dunno. It&#039s gonna be weird though one way or another. I&#039ll keep you posted.
