Itinerary

&#034I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read in the train.&#034 -Oscar Wilde

All righty then, here&#039s what&#039s up and why I will be out of commission for the weekend. I&#039m going to Delaware so that me and my friend Lushbaugh can go deep-sea fishing for blue-fin tuna. Continue reading

Ooh buddy

&#034Three things are weakening: fear, sin, and travel.&#034 -Talmud

Just a quick note to say that today&#039s going to be hectic. Though I have ot admit, the weekend will be more hectic, but that&#039s for later. Continue reading

I’m weird.

&#034It&#039s a proud moment. I just feel so squishy inside. Some say it&#039s the organs; I say it&#039s all the warped love I feel for the world around me.&#034 -Erin Doyle

You know what? I&#039m weird. Continue reading

Groan

&#034Women never have young minds. They are born three thousand years old.&#034 -Shelagh Delaney

We say that when something hurts us, it smarts, and right now I must be wise beyond my years. <Wince> Continue reading

I can sew!

&#034Life is a long lesson in humility.&#034 – James M. Barrie

Well, technically, I haven&#039t actually done any real sewing on my latest artsy-craftsy project, but I have taken the first step: call my sister. I picked up several sewing patterns to make an attempt at making sundresses (the only dress I like much at all), and a few weeks back while at my sister&#039s place, we went shopping to get supplies to make them. Exercise?

&#034The joy of life consists in the exercise of one&#039s energies, continual growth, constant change, the enjoyment of every new experience. To stop means simply to die. The eternal mistake of mankind is to set up an attainable ideal.&#034 -Aleister Crowley

I know that I set out to get in shape a while back, and I&#039ve sort of been working on it. Yesterday, however, simply left me sore and aching, and I almost wouldn&#039t consider myself as having done all that much! Continue reading

On reading

&#034Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested.&#034 -Francis Bacon

I had nearly forgotten how much I enjoy just spending the morning and part of an afternoon engrossed in a book curled up on the couch, periodically getting up to snack (never a full meal; those take time) or to use the bathroom. The cares of the weekend just slip away as sweeping, taking out the trash, or doing the dishes just slip my mind while I am busy sweeping my eyes over a page, taking in the words of a favorite author, and doing little more than trying to remain comfortable as my bad knee whines at being immobile so long. Rain rain

&#034It is easier to fake intelligence than virginity.&#034 -Sir Alexander King

I nearly got caught in the rain again today. When I left for work, I was running late, and though I forgot my keys and locked myself out, I remembered my umbrella. Continue reading
