Adjuncting

In about a half an hour, I’ll be talking to Dr. Dunbar and Keri about the adjunct position this fall. Filling out forms, handing in my résumé, maybe trying to come up with contacts or references (I can use about half the university as references, honestly), and getting all the books and syllabi. You know, tons of stuff. I still haven’t decided if I’m coming back to the office afterwards or not, and Continue reading

This office makes me sick

The lack of moving air and lack of sunlight is really getting to my system. I left work yesterday afternoon with a massive headache, nausea and drowsiness. I ended up taking a nap, which I was rather hoping to avoid because it messes up my already-stupid sleep schedule. The nap helped though, but I bet being in a place with circulating air and windows helped more. When I visited a Continue reading

Braindead weekend

Well, I managed to use as few brain cells this weekend as possible. When I wasn’t sleeping, I was either playing Lego Star Wars, cross stitching, watching movies, or surfing. Pretty boring weekend for the most part. I did finish off all of the first episode of Lego Star Wars, which is cool. I dragged Buster in to work today, and I figure I’ll work on Jerry for a while. Heather’s not in, so all Continue reading

Fur

Well, Kitty’s shedding like mad, as per usual. I mean, she is a cat and all. She’s getting a lot softer now though because she’s losing all that dry winter fur. The thing is that as much as I love my furball, I don’t want to love her before coming in to work because then I look like I’m the cat because of all the fur covering my shirt. Seriously, I hardly wear black or white shirts anymore Continue reading

Bad Brannagh

Brannagh’s harddrive died last night. It’s a good thing Ian backed her up last week when she started giving us grief. She’d been making some ticking noises, and yesterday, it got worse. I just left her on in EQ with my character selling in the bazaar. However, we blew a fuse (or circuit breaker thingie, whatever) somehow and she went down like everything else in the house. When I Continue reading

Insert pithy title here

Still plagued by horrible sleep. Last night it was constantly waking up after dreams of teaching inordinately large classes or dreams of inventing new TV shows and merchandise. The only reason why I bothered to get up at all this morning was to come in and unlock the office door for Heather. We still don’t have the second key to this room, which really bothers me. It’s in the hands Continue reading

@#$%^&* fatigue

I’m tired. I’m having a lot of difficulty just focusing on the computer monitor to type this. I keep yawning every couple minutes, and my eyes sting with fatigue. The odd thing is, I’ve slept recently, but I guess I’m just not getting very good sleep. Friday night I went to bed kind of late because of playing EQ with the husband, but I got to sleep in a bit Saturday before Sarah and Jessica’s Continue reading

Loooooooooooonger week

I’m typing at Heather’s desk which is driving me a little insane because I don’t like touching other people’s computers, so I’ll try to be brief (haha, like I can do that). At any rate, this week has been hell. I’ll try to go through most of it, but honestly, the days seem smashed together and blurred now that I think back on them, so who knows if I get days/facts straight. Then again, this is Continue reading

Loooooooooong weekend.

Friday: I already went over the insanity that was Friday at work with the flood of students all day long. Friday after work, my man Damien was at the house so him, the husband and I hung out for a while before heading to the Outback for dinner. I had one of their Margaritaville ‘Ritas, which was three times the size of a normal margarita, and a steak. Yum! Continue reading
