Ankle biters

I like running around barefoot. I don’t wear shoes or socks around the house, and whenever I’m just going outside for a little while or just going outside to sit on the porch and crochet while the cat’s running around the yard, I simply wear flip-flops or sandals. The major problem with this, of course, is that outside is where the mosquitos are, and I attract mosquitos faster than a Playboy Continue reading

Season 8

So I’m in season 8 of the X-Files. Needless to say, I’ve been watching a lot of the X-Files. We only just got all the rest of the seasons late last month, and I’m already 7.5/9ths through them. Hmm, some might look at that number as bad math. I’m not because it’s nearly three in the morning and I’m watching an episode about a guy who’s on drugs using his third eye to kill people Continue reading

So much work and so little done

Well, yesterday I went shopping for quite a while, hitting four different stores looking for things for Golden Snail Designs. As Katie suggested, I picked up a scale so I could accurately portray shipping and handling prices. Since I’ll eventually be mailing (hopefully) entire afghans, I needed one that could hold more than just five pounds. There were lots of scales for two to five pounds, Continue reading

Making progress

I talked to Katie for a while earlier to let her know about the new craft stuff I’m doing, and she was pretty excited about it. 🙂 I figure I’ll keep a notebook next to my computer while I play on Etsy and all that to write down questions I have for her so I can just e-mail them to her en masse. Luckily, I have the husband to help me make banners and crop photos though. Hooray for Continue reading

On the computer

I think it has been abundantly clear that I haven’t been spending all that much time on the computer this summer, especially the past month or so. I’ve been consumed by fits of cleaning, crocheting, and writing, and what time I have spent on the computer has been short spurts of reading my on-line comics daily puntucated by short or long bouts of World of Warcraft. I Continue reading

Um…

I’m not entirely sure what to make of something I found. I was putzing around on Google when I came across this website. I just wonder what this says about me, eh?

Yarn for brains

Well, I still haven’t gotten any pictures uploaded to my machine let alone edited and put on the webpage. Suffice it to say that I’ve been crocheting a lot and therefore haven’t been on my computer much. About half of my day is spent outside with the cat and a ball of yarn–for me, not her. I finished the blanket for Tommy and we chatted on the porch for a few hours yesterday Continue reading

Getting there

I actually have about two weeks’ of photos to post but haven’t gotten around to loading them on the computer, let alone cropping them and uploading them to the server. I even have pictures of the ripped-off skin caused by a Gatorade bottle on my hand. 🙂 At any rate, I might work on getting the pictures off my phone and camera since the WoW servers are down, but I’m much Continue reading

Sore thumb

The day is barely half over, and it has already been a very long day. I went to bed around two, which isn’t that bad, and after falling asleep around three, I woke up only twice during the night. I got up with Ian when his alarm went off at ten and booted up WoW whilc he got ready for work. He shaved off most of his beard and went down to just the mustache and goatee and was Continue reading

On hold

Well, some of the craftiness is on hold for a little while. While I have some yarn to begin work on Katie’s halfghan, I don’t have the right size hook for it. I have lots of crochet hooks–both steel and aluminum (as well as one wooden one)–ranging from very, very small to fairly large, but there’s a gap between the medium-sized ones and the larger ones. I have aluminum hooks C-J Continue reading
