Busy day!

Thanks to everyone for their birthday wishes! I also liked all the cards I got (the hot dog from Sarah was fascinating, hehe), and special thanks to Aunt Pamela for the wallet and to Mom for all the neat knitting stuff. I’ll definitely be trying to figure out those double-pointed needles, and I’m already using the regular ones you gave me. I tried one of the simple patterns in the booklet, but uh, I screwed it up big time somehow and undid all of it three times and opted to just go back to practicing the two basic stitches, hehe. I’ll get there eventually, I guess. By then, I’ll have made enough practice squares to make a full-sized blanket. Ian got me M&Ms like all birthdays should have, and I’ve spent the better part of this evening either reading or knitting while catching up with shows on-line. I’ve contemplated grabbing Book Two up once again, but my sinuses are bordering on thought-blocking, so I think I’ll hold off. Maybe tomorrow I’ll get around to editing and posting pictures of the new winter display I just set up at the library today, but it may have to wait until Friday ’cause I don’t get off work tomorrow until 8. At any rate, the headache warrants some sleep or pain medication. Again, thanks to all the birthday wishes; it’s hard having a birthday in December because it’s so often over-shadowed by other events, but having friends and family remember it is really nice. 🙂
