My first knit project: a scarf! The cute ends are crochet though. And trust me, it isn’t this flat. It curls up into a tube! (Here it’s folded in half to help keep it straightened out.)

Gee, now that the picture has been uploaded, looking at it, it sure looks a lot darker than the scarf actually is. The scarf’s really a light blue like a heather or less-purple-periwinkle. Oh well, I guess you get the general idea. Now that I’ve made one thing, I’m trying to come up with the next thing to make. I’m thinking pillowcase. Or a little bag. Or a hat. Dunno yet. We’ll see what sort of insanity I knit once I find a pattern that’s not too difficult for a beginner like me. 🙂
