I’m at 25k words for NaNoWriMo! That’s the halfway mark as far as the rules of the event are concerned. I broke 25,000 yesterday evening after spending the day doing laundry and watching a few documentaries on the Iraq War, totalling about 370 minutes of film. (If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been in a real documentary-watching kick.) The thing is, I don’t like to write new content while watching movies because I’m trying to listen to what’s being said at the same time I’m trying to come up with what my characters are doing. It gets confusting and distracting. However, playing Animcal Crossing and Pokémon are easily done while watching films on Netflix. 😉 Last night when I went to bed, my light dozing was interrupted by several bursts of inspiration and I kept sitting up over and over again to scribble down ideas with the help of a little keychain flashlight and the light coming in from the window. This morning when I awoke, there were several other ideas that popped in my mind, and now that I’m at the computer, I’m going to jot them down before I can forget them. So many ideas for the book! Now I just have to write them in. At any rate, there’s my update. Time for caffeine and fantasy!
