Rather than start the next section of the book in my three French classes today (since they have tomorrow and Friday tomorrow off due to Thanksgiving), I opted for showing a short video after today’s pronunciation quiz. The only video I could find in that short amount of time which fit my time requirement was Madeline Christmas. Twenty-five minutes long, it would work out great right after a short quiz. So I got it queued up for today, and it was ready for my three French classes.
Well, the French 2 class (3rd period) wasn’t insanely impressed, but they watched it nonetheless (the class is largely composed of juniors and sophomores with a couple seniors); French 1 (all sophomores and freshmen during 6th period) was about half and half on the enthousiasm, but I forced them to watch it by constantly sneaking up on chatty students and telling them to shut it; and French 3 (7th period) was pretty excited about it (excepting the two junior guys, the class is made up of excitable junior girls) because most of them used to watch the Madeline cartoon show, apparently. Needless to say, having to watch the same show three times in one day made me think about this time years ago when I babysat for Katie’s Big Three (who were all sick at the time, by the way) and Zach insisted on watching Blue’s Clues Birthday about fifteen times over the course of the day. I’ll have to try and either find different videos for each class or find a less sing-songy, crazy one. Oh well, I’m just looking forward to the extra days off, even if I am going to be busy most of the time. That’s all there is; there is no more.

I remember watching some shows over and over again when you were younger.
