WoW bug

This weekend was great getting to see the husband and the cat and getting to just bum around playing Animal Crossing: Wild World and Picross, but I also got a chance to play some WoW on the husband’s account, and now I’ve been bitten by the WoW bug, wanting to play again despite the dial-up connection I’d suffer through here at the house. Actually, I went ahead and started up the launcher for WoW so I could start downloading the patches I’ve missed since last playing, and that didn’t even take an entire hour. I started it around 10:30 pm and it was done around eleven or a quarter after. I even logged in on the husband’s account to see what it was like running around, and with the graphics turned down (I’m sure there’s a way to trim it down even more, but I wasn’t about to play with it much), and it wasn’t all that bad. Then again, I wasn’t fighting or doing anything major, but even being in a large city wasn’t too bad. I’m sure it’d be more noticeable at some times than at others. I was logged in for all of about five minutes, and then I finished grading French 1 papers. It’s 11:40 now, and I’ve been out of the game for about fifteen, twenty minutes, so yeah, it didn’t take nearly as long to download that stuff as I’d imagined it would. Spiffy.

One way or another, however, I figure I still probably won’t mess with WoW here for a while. I’ve got a lot to do this week. Right now, it’s nearing midnight and I really ought to pass out. After all, I’ve had a head cold all weekend and don’t want it getting worse. At any rate, I’m going to play a puzzle of Picross real quick before bed. If only it were a fun-filled week of WoW.

    Dial-up:

So the dial-up isn't that bad after all. I just wish I had more that 128MB memory so my computer would respond better.

    Love, Dad
