Vaguely conscious

I don’t know if it’s the sudden drop in liquid intake (We’re out of Mello Yello and really can’t afford to buy more, and I’m not a big fan of just drinking water anymore.) or caffeine intake (I drink far less tea than Mello Yello, so a cup of tea a day versus three sodas a day isn’t quite leveling out.) or just activity intake (not working means not much moving around), but I’ve been really out of it the past couple days. Seriously, I could sleep just about all day if I wanted to, and that’s with me having a semi-regular bedtime (go to bed around one or two in the morning and get up around nine or ten). I dunno. Maybe I need caffeine, maybe I need to get out more, maybe I need to find something to do that will not only keep me busy but also bring in some revenue. I hate not getting paid over the summer and I hate that none of the places Ian has applied to have gotten back with him. I mean, he applied to about a half dozen places as well as two temp agencies and nothing. I hate worrying about money as much as I hate worrying about my health or my sanity or my own job security. Pfft. I’m just feeling really blah, and I don’t think all the crocheting, cross stitching, WoW playing or book editing is going to help. I’m pretty excited about going to Wiscosin later this month, but if Ian doesn’t get a job before then, there’s just no way I can go. As it stands, he’d have to get a job today and they’d have to pay him next week for us to be able to just afford rent. Pisses me off. I’m seriously thinking about just applying to a bunch of random places myself despite the fact that most would have long hours which would kill my arthritis. It beats being groggy all the time from lack of activity and caffeine, right? I’ve got a couple hours before tutoring, so I guess I’ll finish laundry and fill out some applications or something. Meh.

    I hear ya!:

Definitely sucks about not getting relys from those that Ian has applied to. Trust me, I know what that is like. I spent years applying to place after place and only received a handful of responses. To me that is just bad manners. But, who am I to tell these ill mannered people how to run their hiring departments?

    Manpower:

If you applied to manpower, you should call in at least once a week. I can give Ian the number for the main switch board at the post office if he wants.

    moving books:

Mom is supposed to be getting some more book cases for the library soon. She will be needing some one to re-arrange books. She plans to use Simon. I think she is paying min wage. (probably would pay for gas to get here.)

    Love, Dad

    Sucks!:

    I hope things improve soon.

I've been drop dead tired lately too. I think it may be the weather. (Course I like to blame everything on the weather so who knows.)

    I hear ya:

I applied at 11 places before I finally got a job through Express Personnel. I waited over a month to hear from those 11 jobs and only one called me back. Express had me a job within a week.
