I really enjoy playing DnD. The strategies, the role-playing (when there is some), the character creation, the rainbow-colored dice–it’s all a lot of fun for me. I’ve been reading through articles on the Wizards of the Coast website, amusing myself at their own anecdotes while thinking about the crazy things that have occured in my own little gaming circle. Catch phrases pop up in those long nights such as “butthole scarring,” “ten in the butt (referring to fishhooks),” “I gave her two penises, all right?” and “anal plunder.” Hmm, looking at this list (and it isn’t exhaustive by far), I see our little group has a fetish for particular body parts. Or maybe I do; after all, I’m the one with a character named “Gay Ranger Joe PÊtÊ.”
We’re running an all-wizard campaign right now under Miller, and after his mini adventure is through, we’ll be picking up my campaign again. I use modules for the most part (kit adventures), but I’ve also rolled up some particular dungeons and may add some more. I enjoy DMing (Dungeon Master, for you non-DnDers)–I find it’s a lot like teaching, and I love to teach. Of course, I’m glad the students in Univ 101 don’t shout things out like “Beat him with a 16″ black dildo!” in the middle of class. That would be weird. In our campaign setting, such an utterance wouldn’t be. Ah, what a mixed-up, silly bunch we are. Too much sugar and caffeine, a basement and a bunch of dice is enough to turn a group of otherwise insane adults into a bunch of raving lunatics. What else is a Saturday night for?
I brought some of the thesis to the office to work on, but in between articles on French morphology and syntax, I’ll be reading articles on identifying magic items and skill checks. It might be an interesting reading day today. ^_^

Yes, I use to play DnD every week when I lived in California. Unfortunately, I have never found friends on the east coast with the DnD mindset. đ
We always stuck with the 1st edition rules when I was a player even after many other editions were released. I actually miss a good DnD game. đ

I have never had the oppurtunity to have a woman DM. đ DDO has me by the balls right now. I have put in 42 hours in the last three days (give or take a few…) Have fun with the reading on magic items / skill checks. I love just making my own magic items up because you never know when the party will scamper along and find a lucky wabbit's tail (to their dismay it is actually an 8ft tall yeti that was shrunk. – Let your imagination take over from here…)
