Well, I’ve got some decorating for Halloween done both at home and at work. I’ve decorated more at the office because there are more people who come through here than at home. I have two things that Aunt Pamela gave me: a spooky ceramic crypt and a ceramic skull. I picked up a few little things at CVS recently: a black plastic basket with pumkins on it as a candy dish, a candle in the shape of a tombstone, and a foam pumpkin. In addition to these things, I have the Halloween dreamcatcher that I made some time ago with little skulls and spiders and bats on it. So my desk is a little “spookier” than usual, heh.
At home, I have a witch’s hat on the entertainment center along with a large plastic pumpkin bucket. I just picked up a foam gargoyle which will eventually grace the top of my desk. I figure that when the trick-or-treaters come, I’ll set it out on the porch with me while I wear the witch’s hat and give out candy from the pumpkin bucket. I’m thinking about using some of the husband’s construction paper to make a paper chain to tack up along the porch as well, maybe cutting out paper spiders and bats to hang from it. Eventually, I might put it in the basement around the DnD room. Yeah, that room needs more stuff.
Other than all that, I haven’t done much for the holiday. Not a whole lot of time for it. After having spent the better part of the morning working on Univ 101 stuff, I ought to swtich off to my thesis, but I have a list of departments I have to call about the Majors Fair we’re hosting next week. Dippy. I hate talking on the phone. Oh well. At least the office looks fun.
Heh, funny thought::
Brad wandered in and said he likes my dreamcatcher that I've got up on the wall by my desk. He suggested that I call it a "nightmarecatcher" for the holidays. 🙂 Cute!
hehe:
I love Halloween! Can we sneak into your office while I'm there in two weekends?
Sure!:
I have keys to the building and to the floor, so it would be no problem sneaking up here sometime that weekend. It's sure a hell of a lot more to see than I can describe. 🙂
You're further along than I am:
Halloween decorations have not extended beyond the top of the entertainment center. I have a huge box of stuff on the floor in the living room…just waiting. Perhaps tonight.
