Nectar and Tannis

I need to drag people to Nectar and Tannis. It&#039s on Wabash next to Fat&#039s Bikes, and it&#039s fabulous. Ellie, the Puerto Rican advisor in our group, remodeled the entire thing himself over two and a half years turning it from some old lodge into a cozy, chic restaurant. It&#039s gorgeous. Ellie revarnished the chairs and floors, painted everything, added paneling, plants, everything to turn it into an awesome sight. The basement is a wine bar with its own little stash from all over the world, and the ground floor and upper level are the dining area near an open kitchen. The whole place is just amazing to look at, and the food was wonderful as well. Heather, Susan and I all went with Ellie, Yasenka and Nancy from the College of Health and Human Performance for lunch today and I had an excellent steak salad and wine. All of us came back a little happier (probably because of the wine), and I&#039m bound and determined to go back there with friends and/or family sometime. The lunch meals weren&#039t very pricy at all, and if dinner&#039s as fancy as lunch, then I&#039m hooked. Wonderful place. I can&#039t wait until Ellie remodels another building downtown. He&#039s leaning towards a steak and martini bar. 🙂
