Well, I won't bore you all with the massive amounts of problems the husband and I have been having with our newly built glowing machines. I figure that he'll probably post a much better rant than I because he actually knows what all those computer words he uses mean. I just guess at it most of the time. So he'll clue you in on the PC hysteria, and I'll just fill you all in on the latest addition to the family: Buster.

Yes, he's a laptop. Ian suggested we call him "Lappy," but since he's about a hundred times more powerful than Strongbad's fifty-pound beige paperweight (much like Bob, actually), I thought not. Besides, I have this thing for computer names starting with "B." Bob, Brigid, Brannagh, and now Buster. If I could remember where I stuck those damn papers, I'd list off what all he's got in him. Based on the stickers before me, he's got:
- nVidia GeForce4 440 video card with 64 meg of its own ram
- AMD Athalon 64-bit processor (yes, 64-bit, completely unlike the 8-bit in Bob)
- um, Windows XP
- 24x DVD-rom/CD-RW combo drive
- 512 meg ram
- 60 gig hard drive
- 54g 802.11b/g WLAN (uh, something to connect to the net wirelessly)
- and a 15.4" WXGA high-definition widescreen display.
That pretty much ends whatever I know about this thing other than it's an HP Pavilion zv5410us notebook PC. I got 10% off the regular price because it had been opened and returned by some moron who didn't realize what a sweet machine this is. The funny part is that they left pics on the computer, hehe. Wanna see? Here are their goofy ass pics. Poor Amy (and I know her last name too). She left her name all over the computer as well, heh. I'll get that all deleted soon enough.
So that's Buster. I'm on him currently because I'm still not sure Brannagh will refrain from resetting, and since I have a paper due tomorrow, I can't chance it. Besides, this means I get to hang out in the living room with Kitty (Who, by the way, left me with a three-inch gash on my shoulder because she "slipped" off the back of the couch. Further evidence that she wants me dead.) and near the kitchen where the caffeine boils. Yay! Oh well, that's a long enough break from the paper. Time for more tea and Lucky Charms.

Sweet!:
Although I swear everyone has a laptop but me now. lol But I'm happy with my really cool monitor. Enjoy your new toy, I mean tool!
Same:
I'm with you Katie, I still don't have a laptop either. The Wife and I just don't see the purpose to have a laptop unless traveling, which only occurs a few times a year. And I'm happy with my really cool (one version before yours) monitor. :p
bob..:
bob most decidely had a 16-bit processor. and does was a gloriful 16bit OS !!
sorry. but the geek in me had to correct you.
…
btw: can i "borrow" buster when i go to phoenix? i promise to bring him back, in, say, august. _promise_
Gee:
Lemme think about it no! No borrowing Buster, especially not after posting THAT as a webpage! Lol, you're so silly.
heheh:
You know I almost considered telling a coworker to go there today, I'm glad I decided not to.
Wow, it took that long:
That was one of the reasons why I had not put the homepage option up there. 🙂
Now I understand:
That was a rude image, not something I was expecting to see while browsing quietly at my computer and eating. Ewww!
Awwww:
Somebody popped their cherry. 🙂
