Yeah, the title doesn't mean anything interesting. Just ignore it. I just needed a title and couldn't think of anything witty or clever, so I came up with something dumb. Go figure.
So this weekend went fairly uneventfully. Friday night I remember making spaetzle and sausage, but other than that I'm not sure what all went on. I think there was some playing of Magic Pengel, but other than that, I dunno. Saturday my day was spent in Indianapolis at the Circle Center mall with the head of our department and another advisor. We were to sit at a table with pamphlets and such to recruit high schoolers to come to ISU. We got to Indy insanely early so we could eat at this fancy Italian place beforehand. The actual recruitment fair wasn't too bad. We got to listen to the Ebony Majestic Choir which came all the way over to Indy from the Haute for the event. Too bad we had to stand around so long; my legs still ache. Or is that from running back and forth between here and the College of Education this morning? Oh well.
Saturday night was spent doing something… I seem to recall typing up some more of my notes for my ISU web page. It's done as of now because I ran by Root Hall to pick up the last of my notes which I had loaned out. I typed them up this morning. Brannagh's hard drive is dying. Sometime late Saturday night, it started clicking. Yeah, clicking. Not a good sign. Needless to say, we've shut her off and haven't booted her back up yet. The husband said that she might have thirty more seconds to live, maybe thirty more days. Who knows? I need to boot her up though so I can try to get some files copied over to Brigid. I'll have Ian make me a file or something which I'll be able to find easily. The lucky thing is that because we just upgraded damn near everything on her, we had to recently wipe and reinstall everything. That means that there isn't a lot of accumulated crap on there like I normally would have. I really just have a few documents in a folder and my saves from Bloodlines. Most of my schoolwork I've been keeping on my handy-dandy jump drive, so that's less to worry about.
Um, I'm jumping around so let's jump to Sunday because I don't remember the rest of Saturday night. I've been real exhausted lately, and I think that it's been preventing me from remembering even the most basic stuff like what I ate for lunch yesterday (Rally's something or other, but that's beside the point). So Sunday I slept for forever (though waking up a lot) and then played some Katamari Damacy before Ian and I went to Denny's for lunch only to leave after having sat there for about fifteen minutes without ever having seen a server. That's where Rally's came in. I pretty much spent all of yesterday playing Katamari Damacy (and really hurting my thumbs in the process) before switching to Magic Pengel all evening. I woke up this morning to find that Ian had fallen asleep on the couch with Magic Pengel still going. He had been playing Doom 30 or something until I went to bed whereupon he left for the living room to make noise elsewhere.
As for today so far, I've had a shower which smelled funny because I ran out of my shampoo so I used Ian's Head and Shoulders but with my fruity Herbal Essences conditioner so my hair smells odd. I didn't have to teach my Univ 101 class today because I had a guest speaker come in and talk about food and exercise. I need to lose weight. I feel like an ox. Other than that and self-loathing, I finished typing up notes for my ISU site (which I already mentioned 'cause I jump around too much) and am getting ready to go to lunch with everyone because last week was Susan and Cynthia's birthdays. Next week is spring break. Guess who's excited about that? Soooo, I'm hoping we get the clock fixed here in the office because I keep looking up and getting confused as to what time it is. Damn batteries.

Commiseration:
Yeah I know where you are coming from. I'm kind of glad Jamie is going to be gone this weekend, gives me a chance to do a great many things I absolutely needed to do three weeks ago.

Erin: are you sure about the wisdom of putting a link to your personal home page on a site that you send your students to…??
Shrug:
They're not my students, they're my classmates. My students couldn't figure out my linguistics classes if it were surgically added to their heads (predominately because none of them are interested). The sapphire site is for my classmates who either don't like taking notes or can't take notes fast enough. Since I consider most of them to be friends, then sure I'm fine with it.
