A few changes

&#034It&#039s like a second sense that I have.&#034 -Henry Villegas (in response to being told that he always knows how to seek out the problems).

Just a few random things about this week so that I post them before I forget. I think that I&#039ve decided that Cthulu&#039s middle name shall be Tarzan because of the way he&#039s constantly swinging on the plant and climbing from leaf to leaf. He falls a lot though, so he&#039s a little more like &#034George of the Jungle&#034 but that doesn&#039t have the same ring to it as &#034Cthulu Tarzan Doyle.&#034 My officemate says it sounds like some rock star&#039s kid.

I got my annotated bibliography done this week, so that&#039s one less stressor that I no longer have to worry about. I have a midterm in that linguistics class next Tuesday, so I&#039m working on my notes trying to study. In addition to reading my notes, I&#039m actually typing them up and posting them on the free account that ISU offers to all its students. I told everyone in my class about it and showed them the address, and just about everyone wrote it down. I&#039m really just about the only person who takes notes in there, and since so many of them are international students, they miss a lot during the lecture. I totally understand that because I was in that situation in France a few years back (damn, has it been that long?!), and I know how hard it is to catch everything let alone write it down. If you want to take a look, here it is and enjoy. I hope to have it done this weekend because it will help people study.

Other than that, I am attending a recruitment fair tomorrow in Indianapolis with the head of our department and another advisor. We&#039ll be eating out before sitting in a mall for five hours (and alternatively shopping). I think that I&#039m going to have to set a spending limit for myself if I decide to do some shopping. This recruitment thing is going to eat up pretty much all of Saturday, so I&#039m going to try and get a lot of work done here at the office before going home. I&#039ll probably just eat in since I have soup and some change for a soda.

I really miss video games. I haven&#039t played EQ2 in what feels like forever, and I still haven&#039t gotten around to beating Bloodlines or Magic Pengel. I just ordered a new game too, Katamari Damacy, a strange little Japanese game which Tommy has on a demo disc and which we were all guffawing about last weekend when the husband and I were down. I probably won&#039t be able to do any hard-core gaming for a while yet because of projects at work and up-coming term papers. Oh well. C&#039est la vie.

Currently, I have a beagle standing on a chair in my office next to me so he can watch the window for squirrels. Shiloh is one of the other advisor&#039s dogs, and he&#039s the quietest, most well-behaved dog I&#039ve seen in years. Everyone loves him, and we&#039ve had him in here for the better part of the morning. Heck, I think that even Ian could stand Shiloh since he&#039s so quiet and calm. I mean, all he wants to do is watch for squirrels and occasionally be pet. Nice dog. I think that Ian and I are fine with Kitty though. 🙂

That&#039s about it on this end. I&#039m going to see if I can&#039t finish up with February&#039s notes by the end of work today. Hope everyone has a spiffy weekend!

You + American attention spans = bad.:
I've decided that Ian needs to put some sort of word limit into rantfest. I don't have the attention span to follow your entries. 😉 j/k

I'm testing rantfest to see if it'll let me input javascript. Ignore this line.

    Lol:
Technically, there is, but I doubt that I'll ever reach it. My attention span isn't that long either. 😉
And the java script is cute. Though you should have made the letters green.
