Ah, the weekend is nearly upon me. How terribly exciting! I think the first thing I&#039ll do when I get home is take a nap, then play video games. 🙂 So far, I&#039m only mostly awake despite the fact that it&#039s nearly noon. I can&#039t even really say that I&#039ve been wearing myself out the past couple days either.

Yesterday when I got home from work, I played EQ2 a while then decided to just leave my character up in merchant mode on the husband&#039s machine while I played Bloodlines on my machine. I fixed dinner around 7:30 despite the fact that no one was there to warrant making a huge pot of chili, but Ian came home at 9 to eat with me and then Damien came at around 11:30 to have some. The two of them immediately set out to fix up a make-shift place for Damien&#039s computer in the living room so they could play video games. I conked out at the foot of the bed with the cat while they were still setting up, waking up a while later to give up and go to bed.

Kitty decided that she needed to drive the both of us crazy early this morning. I don&#039t think she liked the fact that she had to give up the couch for Damien. She even managed to wake Ian up by crawling over his head. Crazy cat. I just got up so she&#039d stop bothering him, and it wasn&#039t long after that I was here at work.

So far, I&#039ve answered the phone once, checked my e-mail a couple times (I have five accounts.), donated money to the web comics I frequent as well as buying a &#034TEH&#034 shirt from one of them, done some research for my future thesis, attended a meeting, and worked on Univ 101 stuff. I have also eaten the three clementines I brought in for lunch, and I figure I&#039ll be working on that sandwich I made soon too. I don&#039t really feel like leaving the office for lunch, so I&#039m just gonna sit here and play Bejeweled for an hour and drink my Mountain Dew. This afternoon? I&#039m hoping to get more research done either for my thesis or for my pragmatics class. I&#039m thinking about studying name-calling and insults, possibly the occurence where names become metaphoric designators and eventually words themselves. I&#039m not sure on that yet. Oh well, I&#039m really jonesing for that sandwich now, so I&#039m outta here. 🙂
