I think things are starting to level out here at work. I've got a username and password which work for the advisement program, and I have a username and password which work for the computer so I can access the network so I can use the advisement program. I also have a new campus e-mail and ID which reflect the fact that I'm married (after two years of still signing in as "eringwald"), and still works with all of the related net services (accessing my Univ 101 class roster, my own two classes, and the on-line content for one of my classes), so that's nice. The only computer problems I might have in the near future will be whether or not I get a staff e-mail, but I'm not too concerned with that.
Other than that, I've cleared things up with the controller's office enough to where I could register for classes last Friday afternoon (after some haggling and calling around to make sure everything was fine). I should be getting paid by SMWC by the end of this month, and I'll get my financial aid for this semester by the end of the month as well. I think that the problems with human resources will be cleared up soon so that I'll also be able to get paid for my new job by the end of the month as well. My bank account is going to jump from about $13 to several thousand by the end of this month! Of course, several of those thousands will then be turned around and paid to various places, but it'll be nice to look at for a day or two.
Thus, I believe that the majority of crippling problems which arose beginning back in December are finally being fixed and finished. I don't think I have that respiratory infection anymore because I haven't been coughing very much and it's not as easy for me to get winded, so that's nice since it had been going on for a month and a half. I've even gotten some projects taken care of such as the Ringwald crest and leveling my characters in EQ2. The sun's currently out, so even that's looking a bit better. All I need now is some caffeine and a head of lettuce and I'll be all set for the rest of the day. 🙂
