I'm sitting at my own desk at my own computer which I finally got to at least allow me to the internet as of this afternoon. Hooray for me! I still haven't gotten most of my issues with the campus straightened out (such as my username and password for GroupWise), but at least they've given me my waiver for last semester's fees. Now if only SMWC could pay me by Monday! <Sigh> Oh well, guess it's going to be a while longer before things smooth out. I advised my first student by myself today. That was fun. I helped out with the other students this morning, but this one was all mine. 🙂 Woot! And I think I've just about got her talked into taking the Honors Program 'cause she loves Greek and Latin mythology and literature. She's hoping to take a Latin course soon. She's happy to be back in school because I guess she was in the military for a while before. So yay for me and her! Woot!
I got other work done today such as getting about half my guest speakers lined up for this semester. I need to type up half of my syllabus this weekend because I start teaching Monday at 9 in the morning all the way across campus. I won't have all of the class schedules ready by then, but I'll be able to give them their assignments for January. My guest speakers are going to include the following topics: study abroad, health & fitness, college life & the real world after, registering & general education, the library's resources, the Career center's resources, safety & the law on campus, and student loans & credit cards. Lots of fun! I figure that I won't have as much information as these people, and the class will get bored listening to me anyway. Yay! Now if only I could register for my own classes. Oh well. Time to sort out the pile of papers on my desk so I can get ready to go home soon. Next week begins the insanity. Woo!

How do you like the weather?:
Are you enjoying the 4 inches of white crap we got last night, as much as I am? *gags* And I drove 3 hours in it. That was fun.
Good luck getting things straightened out with all your school stuff. Looks like they are about as organized with you as they are with me. I was supposed to start classes this semester at ISU (I was SO excited), but OOOPSIE, someone lost my transcripts, so I have to wait until summer. Just great. I'll be 50 before I graduate. *sigh*
Enjoy your weekend (stay inside, LOL)!
