@#$%^&*! throat

Well, my birthday went pretty well. I heard from pretty much all of my friends and family, and even some of my students at the tutoring center got me a card. I got ice cream and M&Ms (a Nolan family tradition) from my adorable husband who also made chili for dinner. If it weren&#039t for the fact that I couldn&#039t talk all day and was otherwise somewhat sick, it&#039d&#039ve been a really cool birthday. Thanks to everyone for the cards and warm wishes. 🙂

Today was spent trying to keep warm either while trying to sleep (I got an hour and a half of sleep &#039cause my throat was hurting so bad and I couldn&#039t get warm), while at work at the library (thanks for loaning me the shawl, Sally!), walking around campus (@#$%^&*! weather) or while at the tutoring center (where it&#039s never warm). My French class went really well and everyone gave awesome presentations. I shared my M&Ms with my students because M&Ms are magic happy pills that make everything better. 🙂

So now I&#039m home again, and I took a nap upon getting here &#039cause I didn&#039t sleep well last night thanks to my throat. When I woke up, my throat was killing me that much more unfortunately, and it hurts to both swallow and talk and well, I guess it also just hurts to sit here as well. It just hurts. It feels like someone put flaming sandpaper in my throat and enlarged my tonsils three sizes this day. Stupid tonsils. I asked Ian if he&#039d cut them out and he was like, &#034Gross, no.&#034 Then I realized that one technically scrapes them out, and he was like, &#034Grosser, no.&#034 Oh well. He made chicken and rice with cream of mushroom soup, so it&#039s sliding down my throat okay. I&#039ll probably have some more mint tea (decaffienated, but what can you do?) and possibly some ice cream though technically since milk is a mucus, it will just add to my mucus problems, but it tastes good so who cares? Oh well. Rambling. That&#039s normal. So I think I&#039m going to play EQ and take some drugs and hope the throbbing in my neck calms down. Laters.
