As of one week tomorrow, I'll no longer have to spend almost all of my free time (what little of it there is in the first place) in Macheak's office. Mind you, I enjoy hanging out with him and find his company amusing, but well, I'd really like to get my life back and I'm sure he feels the same. Even when I was sick on Wednesday and missed work and my French class, I still made it to his office to go over a few more notes before the test in my night class. I spent about two hours in his office this afternoon, and tomorrow after my cousin's bridal shower, I'm going to turn right around and drive back up here so we can go over the presentation in even more detail. We'll probably also meet Sunday and Monday, and we're hoping to have everything put together by Thursday so we can do trial presentations. We're actually recruiting people to come watch who'll be supportive (and quiet) so we can practice. So far, the time's we're looking at are Thursday around 6:15 or so and Friday around 3:30. We technically don't have a room to do this in yet, but we'll just swipe an empty room in Root Hall once we get people together. We've just gone over who's going to be doing what, and now we mainly just need to get the materials together and in order. So much work for a 50-minute presentation! But just think of the résumé builder this experience is! I gotta admit that a day in Indy wandering around a hotel with Macheak will be interesting in and of itself. So here's to hoping everything works out between now and the 6th because time is running out!

Just remember…:
Anything worth doing will take time.
For my senior year I designed, choreographed, wrote, and directed a 45 minutes show. It took me 363 days from concept to performance.
The satisfaction when complete is amazing! You'll love it.
It doesn't matter if it is a multimedia performance, a presentation on the fine wines of Austrailia, or a halloween photo being posted to a blog like Katie's, just remember the good and bad times getting to that point and the fact that in the end it feels great to accomplish something that others find wonderful.
Good luck!
Thanks :):
I know that this sort of activity takes a lot of work, and I know that even if we screw up royally during the presentation next week, I'll at least have had the experience of working together with someone toward an academic goal that lies outside of my immediate university. It's pretty amazing, really. Just time-consuming! I'm going back there this afternoon after having spent 4 hours there yesterday!
