&#034Things are consumed in fire, and fire exhausted becomes things again.&#034 -Heraclitus

Kay, uh, the quote was from Lushbaugh, Mr. Latin-and-Greek-Randomness himself, so I have no idea what it means or where it comes from or how it relates to anything that I could possibly ever write right now, but uh, I needed a quote, so deal with it. 🙂

I&#039m in Delaware! I drove from Terre Haute to Ohio (somewhere after Columbus) before Lushbaugh took over. He was smacking himself awake while in the mountains of West Virginia, and despite my persistant rambling and babbling, I managed to break his mind only upon reaching Delaware, and I don&#039t even remember what I said. Then again, I can&#039t remember half of what I was talking about &#039cause it was REALLY frickin&#039 late, so uh, go figure. We slept through part of Friday then hung out in the basement playing darts and watching MST3K. His family&#039s real nice, and they seem to like me for some silly reason (haven&#039t figured that one out, but his mom did call me a &#034good, wholesome Midwestern girl,&#034 so they can&#039t have figured me out yet). We went out for crab legs, and my stomach turned quite a bit watching Lushbaugh rip apart the legs, breaking them open then yanking the innards out to dip it in melted butter then tear into with his teeth. <Shudder>

I slept until ten-thirty when Lushbaugh opened the bedroom door and shoved one of the cats in the room telling it to pester me. The cat (Fritz, aka Psycho) is actually really well-behaved and just curled up beside me and let it pet it while it purred. I got up, and we yapped until his mom got back from the store. Then we went wandering around downtown Dover, looking at all the historical-type places before ending up in a bar having a tall glass of Yeungling&#039s. It&#039s like the beer of one of the oldest (if not the oldest) breweries in the area. It was pretty good. We should get it in our area. I did some souvenir shopping, and then we came back here to go through his books from college. I&#039m in the process of book-taping them with some packaging tape because time and bad packing have bent the corners on many and torn the covers on a few. I love playing librarian. It&#039s fun! We&#039ll be watching more MST3K once I get done with this and he checks his own e-mail.

Tomorrow. Ooooh tomorrow. We&#039re getting up at two in order to leave by three so we can be on the boat by five-thirty! Yay?! We&#039ve done our soda/beer/snack shopping, so there&#039ll be plenty of munching on the boat. There&#039s sunscreen aplenty though I doubt I&#039ll get by with only a light burn. I&#039m sure I&#039ll come out looking like Santa Claus&#039 suit. Time will tell. If we catch something, I&#039ll be sure to take pictures, and all these pics will end up on the page when I get back since I don&#039t know how to upload them to the server (and have no means for doing it from here anyway without the program). So there&#039s my up-date, and now I&#039ll let punk-boy have the computer with its 56k modem, <Snicker>.

Posted: July 3, 2004 at uh, dammit, it&#039s 7:25 on my watch but Lushbaugh tells me it&#039s an hour ahead so it&#039s 8:25 in the evening here in Delaware.
