"It is good practice to leave a few things unsaid." -Elbert Hubbard
Wow. Well, after two weeks or so of looking/typing up information for this resource guide for academic advisors, I have one entire chapter re-done. I just printed it off, and now I'm going to go through it (again) to look for any mistakes I might have made while typing and to try and tighten up the format for it. After that, it'll be more typing to correct my mistakes and another print job until I pass it off to someone else for approval/corrections/whatever the hell they want to do with it. I've become the editor up here, a title that I just find hilarious because I consider myself a linguist and a poet before a grammarian, but I guess you have to know the language really well before you can play with it and really appreciate its intricacies.
I'm having lunch with Macheak today to go over the paper for the conference. Hopefully he can hook me up with some good general books to read for it 'cause otherwise I'll spend forever just trying to pick them out. I really need to start working on the summer reading list he gave me, but well, I guess I'm just not ready to stop relaxing just yet. I mean, I want a break, after all. It's summer! Well, there's that, and I'm a bad student, but I still hope he won't yell at me too much. I'll probably leave in about fifteen minutes to have time to grab something to munch on before getting over to the library. I'm hungry. All I've had today is applesauce and tea. Kinda a weird combination, I know, but I'm not very good at getting a good breakfast other than caffeine.
I was going to say that since I probably won't be going out with the boys again tonight (one dollar margueritas at Tumbleweed last night), that I could work on this project this evening, but then I remembered that tonight is DnD night on-line. The husband won't be playing because he went to his parents' house until Thursday to finish off the last few days of his vacation. I hope he's having fun down there in the nice, clean, pretty countryside. <Sigh> I miss being out in BFE. Living in a city just doesn't sit well with me.
At any rate, I'm going to break out a red pen and start grading myself on this project to see just how much I screwed it up. Hopefully no one else will notice, but since the last edition had "eligibility" misspelled as "elibility" twice, I'm guessing no one else is capable of really noticing, hehe. Laters, peeps.

What fun!:
Although after my day, I might trade you lives. 😉
Really?:
Gee, I can't imagine why you'd want to trade chasing five kids around for sitting at a desk typing and then going out for drinks after work with friends… I'll have to hit your site to see what's up.
