More editing to come!

&#034It is good practice to leave a few things unsaid.&#034 -Elbert Hubbard

Wow. Well, after two weeks or so of looking/typing up information for this resource guide for academic advisors, I have one entire chapter re-done. I just printed it off, and now I&#039m going to go through it (again) to look for any mistakes I might have made while typing and to try and tighten up the format for it. After that, it&#039ll be more typing to correct my mistakes and another print job until I pass it off to someone else for approval/corrections/whatever the hell they want to do with it. I&#039ve become the editor up here, a title that I just find hilarious because I consider myself a linguist and a poet before a grammarian, but I guess you have to know the language really well before you can play with it and really appreciate its intricacies.

I&#039m having lunch with Macheak today to go over the paper for the conference. Hopefully he can hook me up with some good general books to read for it &#039cause otherwise I&#039ll spend forever just trying to pick them out. I really need to start working on the summer reading list he gave me, but well, I guess I&#039m just not ready to stop relaxing just yet. I mean, I want a break, after all. It&#039s summer! Well, there&#039s that, and I&#039m a bad student, but I still hope he won&#039t yell at me too much. I&#039ll probably leave in about fifteen minutes to have time to grab something to munch on before getting over to the library. I&#039m hungry. All I&#039ve had today is applesauce and tea. Kinda a weird combination, I know, but I&#039m not very good at getting a good breakfast other than caffeine.

I was going to say that since I probably won&#039t be going out with the boys again tonight (one dollar margueritas at Tumbleweed last night), that I could work on this project this evening, but then I remembered that tonight is DnD night on-line. The husband won&#039t be playing because he went to his parents&#039 house until Thursday to finish off the last few days of his vacation. I hope he&#039s having fun down there in the nice, clean, pretty countryside. <Sigh> I miss being out in BFE. Living in a city just doesn&#039t sit well with me.

At any rate, I&#039m going to break out a red pen and start grading myself on this project to see just how much I screwed it up. Hopefully no one else will notice, but since the last edition had &#034eligibility&#034 misspelled as &#034elibility&#034 twice, I&#039m guessing no one else is capable of really noticing, hehe. Laters, peeps.

    Really?:
Gee, I can't imagine why you'd want to trade chasing five kids around for sitting at a desk typing and then going out for drinks after work with friends… I'll have to hit your site to see what's up.
