The endlessness of it all

I keep meaning to update and then never get around to it. It’s because there’s so much going on that I feel like it’d take forever to update. I think I’m just going to have to try and post a little at a time to try and catch up. I still can’t believe August is gone; I wasn’t done with it.

At any rate, I’ve started an on-line class: “School and Public Library Administration.” The first assignment was an introduction of myself that took forever to write because I’ve had quite a bit of education as well as experience as a lot of work in libraries. The text is specifically for school librarians, but it’s still interesting enough.

I really need to get ready for the Ferdinand Folk Festival. It’s September 18, and I still need to coordinate authors and supplies. I meant to take care of it on my previous days off, but I’ve gotten back into World of Warcraft, and I’ve also gotten a new “video game” for my DS that has 100 books on it, and I’ve been reading them. I finished A Portrait of Dorian Gray recently and started Alice in Wonderland yesterday. And speaking of authors, I need to finish making corrections to my previous novels, get quotes for each chapter of Book Three, and finish writing Book Four. I think that for National Novel Writing Month, I’m going to write a much smaller book since I’ll be working on homework and working at the same time.

Speaking of work, I’ve been busy there too. There’s a staff meeting at the new Ferdinand building tomorrow morning, there’s a genealogy round table in the afternoon in Tel City, and when I get back, I’ll work until eight. I also work this weekend, and I’m hoping that by then, they’ll have fixed the AC. There hasn’t been AC at the library since Saturday, and parts of the building have reached 90 degrees. Most of the building is between 84 and 87. Next month is going to be chaotic because I’m in charge of the Heroe’s Tree project (a tree in the building for people to hang homemade ornaments honoring their loved ones who serve/have served in the armed forces) and have been helping with Family History Month, also in October. We’re having a beginner’s class to genealogy, a course on how to use the microfilm machines, a class on using computers in genealogy, and finally one on learning to read old German script. Busy!

At any rate, I’m nearly at the end of the last episode of season four of Star Trek: Voyager and will probably read a few more chapters of my textbook before hopping on WoW to do daily quests and level up my horde paladin. I’m not looking forward to having to get up so early tomorrow.
