Chapter 14

Tada! Chapter 14! It didn’t actually take all that long to finish typing this one up; I had already done about half of it already. (Though now this means I don’t have any of chapter 15 to type up…vicious cycle.) Actually, what took me so long to get this posted was coming up with a quote. I think that I’m going to have the same problem as Asprin (my favorite author) and end up Continue reading

Catching up

Lessee, haven’t posted in a while, or at least, I haven’t posted anything significant in a while. I woke up this morning to find eight spam messages on eight different posts, so since I was in the back-end deleting all of those, I figured that since I was back here, I’d post. I haven’t yet decided where I want to start this post concerning how far back in my week I want to cover, which is Continue reading

Attemping to break my arms

Ouch. I’m not sure we have enough goat wrap in the house to cover both my arms, but it’s probably worth the attempt to find it all. My elbows are threatening to cease connecting my forearms to my upper arms. My forearms feel like the muscles are attempting to extricate themselves from both skin and bone. My wrists are amazingly still functioning albeit with a degree Continue reading

Chapter 13

Behold Chapter 13! I just finished typing this up a few minutes ago and then did my copy/paste/edit for webpage/upload mess right after. I also updated the Writings page to keep it up-to-date with all the chapter additions. I doubt that I could get Chapter 14 typed up today since I’m not really sure where it’s going to end, and I might want to switch over to adding new content to Continue reading

NaNoWriMo

I’ve just signed up for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month for those of you unfamiliar with it from Katie’s site). Since it’s still the beginning of October, that means I’ve got plenty of time to decide if I want to try NaNoWriMo with my current novel series (either by continuing with book two or jumping ahead into book three) or if I want to use one of my other book ideas Continue reading

Chapter 12

I’m not going to get into the long, drawn-out explanation for why I’m up at four thirty in the morning because I don’t feel like it. Suffice it to say, I’m not asleep and as such had been spending my time trying to decide what to do with my non-sleeping time. After spending some time reading up on the subjunctive and conditional moods in English, in the end, I grabbed the Continue reading

Pumpernickel #5

Befuddled, the boy brushed bits of bottle from his back and continued down the street. He was deep downtown now, walking in a haze. Everything that had been happening to him was racing through his young mind. After having been kicked out of class, out of school, and out of his house, he was wandering aimlessly down the street, moving simply for the sake of moving. Since Continue reading

Pumpernickel #4

Running down the street to get away from the angry woman and her nipping dog, the boy raced home and swung into the door quickly, closing the door behind him with a slam. He thought about going to his room and lying down to try and clear the fog in his mind, reeling as he was from the strange ordeals he had been enduring thus far in his day. Looking at the cuckoo clock in Continue reading

Pumpernickel #3

Rushing into the principal’s office to get away from the upset secretary, the boy quickly shut the door behind him. The principal was on the phone, obviously waiting for the person on the line to respond since he was just holding the receiver up to his ear when the boy entered. Not wanting to interrupt, the boy moved to sit quietly in one of the large chairs in front of the principal’s large Continue reading

Pumpernickel #2

The boy, upon leaving the classroom and closing the door behind him, began the long walk to the principal’s office. He had no idea what had upset the teacher so much. After all, he had done his homework: she had said to go home and learn a new word, and he did, and now he was being sent to see the principal for it. His head hanging, he almost didn’t see the janitor with his broom Continue reading
