I heard back from the grad school yesterday about Jerry’s formatting. It wasn’t much, actually. Take the bold off on this one thing, make this one thing in italics, put little dots between the chapter number and the page number in the table of contents… Piddly stuff, really. Well, I’m editing the thesis pretty hardcore now. I’m working to get it compliant for both my LSA stylesheet (Linguistic Society of America) and the Grad School’s handbook, and I’m editing and revising according to the notes/comments my committee members have sent. Well, I didn’t get as much done last night as I’d hoped. I really need to get it through my incredibly thick skull (It is incredibly thick–there are X-rays that prove it.) that playing movies or cartoons of any sort is just going to distract me and keep me from working to my full (albeit still small) potential.
