I’ve got jingle bells stuck in my head, as usual. It’s the default song that pops in my brain when there isn’t anything else in there to sing. Currently, I have a student in my office taking his final exam. He showed up in the last twenty minutes of the test thinking the test was at noon rather than ten, and I figured that since I haven’t much else to do, I’d just let him take it in my office while I Continue reading

Garbled
I find my hair braids very well. It’s now at a good length for it, and it holds to it incredibly well with minimal frizzing, which is the important part. I took a picture of my braided hair yesterday and might put it up here if I have the brain cells for it. Therefore, probably not. I spent all of last night grading papers and will probably spend a portion of tonight doing the same. Continue reading
Garble
First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KYLE! My nephew’s five now, and it’s been fascinating watching his antics since he was born. Actually, I sort of use his age as a way of figuring out what wedding anniversary the husband and I are celebrating since he was born in 2001 and we got married four days before his first birthday. See? Crazy math is the best math. So happy birthday, Tasmanian Continue reading
Worms
Nobody likes us
Everybody hates us
Think we’ll go eat worms
Big fat juicy ones Continue reading
Quickie blurbs
Honestly, I don’t really have a lot to say at the moment just because I’ve forgotten what I was originally going to post about. Go figure; I’m flighty. So I’ll just rattle some quick stuff off and let it go at that. 1) Thanks to everyone for congratulating me on graduating (finally). I’m sure many of you were already bored with the fact that I was just still in school and likely never to graduate, but Continue reading
Cleaning
I’ve been doing a shitload of cleaning lately. It’s mostly due to the fact that I finally have time to clean, and partly because people came over Saturday to get drunk and I’m not a big fan of piles of stuff lying around drunkies. That leads to bigger messes than I care to deal with, so I cleaned. I still technically have some dishes to wash, and after I use the last pair of rubber gloves, I’m not Continue reading
Caffeinator
I loaned Heather my herbs/spices book that I got for Christmas from the other Erin Doyle, and we got to talking about teas and tisanes and all that jazz, and I pointed her to Adagio, which is where I point everyone interested in teas beyond Lipton and Ian’s Nastea, and I got to playing around on their site some more and started getting all tea-thirsty. I might have to fix myself a few cups when I Continue reading
Alouette, gentil alouette
Silly random songs messing with my head. It was “Wake up, pretty Susie” then it became “Alouette” and somewhere in there is a background track of something Beethoven. I’m currently watching a madman scream in black and white and Spanish. It’s the Spanish version of Dracula from 1931. Eating carrots, cross stitching, and rubbing my allergy-ridden eyes. Yup, that’s this Continue reading
Pinched nipples?
I found this website through an ad banner on a webcomic’s site. The picture of a woman in a chainmail bikini was interesting, so I clicked on it and got this Twisted Links site. The fact that it has a section specifying various historic periods was interesting enough, but then there’s stuff like this little guy which just made me laugh out loud. Ah, such is the insanity of life. 🙂
Sandals!
I’m not the biggest fan of Spring, probably due to the SAD, but I do like the fact that I can break out all my sandals! Yesterday I wore my expensive green pair that I got last year around this time, and today I’ve got on my white and black pair. They rub on my big toe a bit until I get used to them, but who cares? They’re sandals! My feet are free and yet tastefully still shod so that no one Continue reading
