Well, I hadn’t expected to have to do anything for Sycamore Advantage this morning, but two students showed up (one freshman, one transfer) for the Sycamore Advantage transfer day. Susan (who isn’t feeling well) took the freshman and I took the transfer student. Heather’s out, so the closet is pretty quiet now and now’s a good time to work on TKT #2: lay vs. lie. One in the morning
Well, I’ve just spent the past couple days doing a really quick polishing job on Jerry. I incorporated Drs. Nelson and Phillips’ comments and then went through and checked formatting like mad, added page numbers to the table of contents, fixed a bunch of glitchy en- and em-dashes that Word can’t seem to keep from fucking up royally, and took out some other stupid Continue reading
Another day
Just another quick post to nudge proof of my existence out there for a while. Well, as much proof as I can offer, anyway. After all, it could be Ian typing this as he has my password. Or maybe I don’t exist at all and me and my webpage are just mass hallucinations with a lot of people. Hehehe, what fun. At any rate, more Sycamore Advantage, more students, more sitting in the Continue reading
Small office + upset stomach = BAD
My head hurts a bit too much to post a lot, but I at least wanted everyone to know I’m still alive. After a weekend of pretty much lying around either sleeping or messing on the computer, I’d have hoped to be feeling much better by now, but I don’t. My head still hurts, my joints hurt (a bit more since I walked to work today), and my stomach has been acting up as well. The worst part about Continue reading
DnD WiG Comic
Since I’ve been feeling too nasty to play DnD this weekend, I decided to draw a comic about DnD instead. This one goes out to Dave, the Pixie who would fly 400′ in the air, invisible, holding a fireball to attack anything and everything. Those were interesting times. Enjoy the comic! Continue reading
Heartburn
Sorry, no posts for a while. Between Sycamore Advantage starting yesterday and running through June and the fact that I’ve been feeling really puny lately, I don’t really feel up to a big post. So no TKT yesterday and probably no substantial post until maybe Monday. I’ve been having really bad heartburn for the past week (like “I’m gonna throw up if I don’t get this to calm down now” kind of Continue reading
Comic archiving
Well, I just finished archiving PVP yesterday night. It didn’t take as long to archive as I thought, but then again, I was reading nearly a year every day or two, so that makes it go faster. I figure the next biggie is MegaTokyo. I’ll probably get to it soon, I guess. I really enjoy archiving not only because it’s like sitting down and reading a book (graphic novel, really) but also because it affords Continue reading
Happy birthday, Simon!
The little brother is now 16 today! It’s really his special day because it’s 06/06/06! Wait, 666? Yeah, that sounds like Simon. 😉 At any rate, happy birthday, Freckle Bomb! It was great having you up here to watch silly cartoons, play lots of video games and read comics! Kitty says “meow” to you or something, I’m sure. One way or the other, she’s crazy, you’re crazy, and it’s all a bunch Continue reading
R.I.P. Cthulu
Cthulu, the great monster of the deep [fish tank], has passed on. 🙁 It is a sad day for snail gods everywhere. She will be missed. I was switching fish tanks from the little gallon and a half to the two gallon since Ian and I were rearranging the living room and cleaning anyway, and I found her lying on the bridge. She had a good life…after I took her out of Squeak’s tank. She was a good Continue reading
Grarr dreaming!
Yesterday evening, I couldn’t seem to stay awake. I couldn’t concentrate on one thing for more than about five to ten minutes at a time, and all I wanted to do was sleep. I resisted the temptation because I’ve been feeling lazy enough lately as it is, but going to sleep at eight seemed more than excessively early to me. Drowsiness won over, however, and I conked out around nine, only to Continue reading
