I’ve done it!

I finally posted my first two items to Etsy. I started with the pillowcases because they’re prettier and more interesting than the half dozen hats I’ve made so far. Yesterday I took a lot of pictures and pestered Katie quite a bit trying to get all the little details worked out about the site, and now I’ve finally listed something. Madness.

There’s still a lot I need to do on this end though. I plan on including laundry care cards with everything I sell because that’s always a concern with yarn products. I’m basically going off of the washing instructions included on the label the yarn came in; I’m just fancying it up (is that even a word? Guess it is now) and will probably print them on cardstock and then cover the top of it with Contact paper so as to give it a little more durability.

Ian’s just about done with my banner for the Etsy site. There are just a few fine-tuning things I’d like for him to do. I’ll be using the same snail logo on the business cards I’ll eventually print up as well. Gotta work on that too.

So for the rest of the day, I need to consume caffeine, to organize the living room (it’s a yarny mess, like a tentacle monster spawned all over the place), to put more anti-itch stuff all over my feet and ankles, and to crochet some more. I’ve got two more pillowcases that need finished, a couple hats that need elastic sewn in, and an eyeball to perfect. (I’ll explain the eyeball thing later for those of you who are confused.) Busy day! At some point, I also need to start looking for a new job…d’oh!
