So it snowed a little this morning. It probably didn’t get much over a quarter of an inch, but it was still coming down when I left for work around seven. It was pretty slippery stuff, too. The Mom-mobile actually slid a couple times while I was in town just stopping at stop signs and lights. I figured I’d take this as a sign to drive a little slower than usual…or a lot slower. I decided to really take it slow after seeing the first accident on 231. There was a pickup truck overturned onto its cab not too far from Jasper. It was pointed north yet in the south-bound lane’s ditch. That slowed traffic for quite a bit. The other accident was closer to Whitfield. A car had slid down a five-foot embankment into a ditch and its neighboring fence. I passed a total of three emergency vehicles as well as two snow plows. Is there still snow out there? Not really, at least not on the roads. I’m kind of curious to see if it’ll snow again this week. I’d prefer that it didn’t. I’m not a big fan of driving on snow around idiots who don’t know how to take it slow for their own safety or the safety of others.
Driving in snow:
The thing that most people don't do is open up the space between cars. Giving more time to react is extremely important to prevent accidents.

Again today.:
Did you get the message that Loogootee was on a two hour delay today? I thought about calling you (I always call Mom) but I charged my cell phone last night and forgot to pick it up and didn't have your number.
