Well, I’m going to be putzing around the house today doing a lot of odd jobs that I haven’t had time to get to before thanks to recent illness, etc. I’ve started work on getting the trash cans in peripheral rooms cleaned up (we don’t use the wastebaskets in the bedroom or living room or den much, so they don’t fill up fast but together make for a full bag), and I’m going to start working on unpacking/repacking stuff from the move so it can safely go into the basement. Well, it’s more like a cellar, actually. The thing is, cellar or basement, it’s likely to have some crickets or mice or dampness problems so the cardboard boxes we moved our stuff down in isn’t going to keep our stuff safe for long. We picked up some plastic totes, and it’s my job this weekend to shift it all around to get the living room cleared up. I figure I’ll also finish the laundry the husband started, and at some point I want to go ahead and move the grill to the cellar as well since it’s not going to do a lot of good on the porch over the winter. I’d love to get around to straightening up all our books, but that’s probably going to have to wait until this summer. It’s crazy that we’ve been living here for several months now and don’t yet have all our stuff unpacked, but time’s not my friend. Since most of the stuff that needs repacked is mine, Ian can’t really do it, so it’s up to me to finish the job. At least I’ve got some new DVDs I haven’t watched yet (the red volume of Voltron and the latest Pirates of the Caribbean but I haven’t gotten a copy of the latest Harry Potter yet, maybe something for after the holidays) and I’ve got Kitty to keep me company while the husband’s at work. Blah! So much to think about and so few brain cells. Time for another soda and some stuff to clean. Here’s to a cleaner house!!
