Walking

I’m a bit stiff right now, but it’s the good kind of stiff that comes from moving around a lot. Walking to and from the ISU or Vigo County library takes about twenty-five minutes each way which makes for almost an hour total walking time. It’s warm out (Odd that, since it’s summer, after all.) which means I end up sweaty and stinky from my walks, but since it’s really just Ian who has to put up with it, I don’t care much. Should I care? I mean, I’ve cleaned up his vomit, he puts up with my cooking, I wash his socks, he washes dishes after I’ve been cooking. . . We’re gross around each other all the time so some additional B.O. isn’t going to alter our perceptions of each other. Regardless.

I have been enjoying walking though. I really ought to be doing more exercises since I’m not running all over campus, leaving me fairly inactive most of the week. Maybe by the end of the summer I’ll have actually lost a little weight. After all, walking six times a week for about twenty-five minutes at a time (Walk to the library, stay there between an hour or two, then walk back.) is good exercise, right? Right. At any rate, it can’t hurt–except for maybe my sense of smell. But now that I’m home from Knit Wits, it’s time for more Star Trek movies and either WoW or the last seven rows of the afghan. And food. Food would be a good idea. All that walking made me hungry.

We actually have a hose too!:

For some odd reason, buying the garden hose made this place feel more like a house than a rented apartment. Weird how little things like that alter our perception of things.

    And a grill helps too.:

Although the sticky stinky feeling is going to get worse when the humidity finally kicks in.
