Catching up

Let’s see, there’s a lot to catch up on. I think I’ll start with last Friday. I had some interesting presentations from my intermediate-level classes including but not limited to: men’s fashion in the U.S. and Europe, French fairy tales, and Asian bird flu. The furnace ceased functioning late last week, so the husband and I got to spend the entire weekend bouncing from a chilly 53 degrees to a balmy 55. They fixed the problem yesterday, thankfully. I was starting to get fairly sick as a result of the cold despite wearing four shirts and thick socks and multiple blankets. Being cold just makes me want to sleep, so I was pretty unproductive for most of the weekend. Well, except Saturday. I could have easily killed off the Dungeons and Dragons group Saturday night. That was fun. Dunno about it being productive, but it was fun. I don’t think it’s going to get much easier for the group either, hehe. At any rate, I have a lot of crap to clean off my desk and some tea to make to stay awake for the rest of the day. I’m going to be at the office late because of students who need to make up exams. Whee. Oh well, tea time.

    Miles:

I don't think we have a car with less than 100,000 and one of them is a 2002 model.

On ACWW, I'm down to only 9 shirts missing, the steam roller (does it really exist?), and one Gyriod. I still need to get a perfect town and I haven't been working on getting pictures. I ran into something interesting yesterday. I had the lost kitten in my town and so started up my second town to get rid of it. My second town had Gracie there. after getting the lost kitten there, Gracie had disappeared. I still need three Gracie outfits.

We're going to have to make a trip to Moggers once we're in Indiana, sounds like a good time!

    Mileage:

It's odd that people are just catching on to the fact that it's not so much the miles you put on a car, it's the maintenance. I plan on keeping my car for at least five more years and it will be in great shape because I at least make a half-assed attempt to keep the maintenance up to date. Black and Bleu Burgers!

    😀 I'm so glad!:

It is great being able to have a place where I can tell people what I'm up to. I'm glad the blog helps me keep in touch with people because for the past several years, I've been so busy I haven't seen too many people. Now I'm just far away with a van that has over 260,000 miles on it, lol. 🙂

    Long posts:

Do you ever do a word count of your posts? They might be able to work for NaNoWriMo. Nice seeing you Wednesday and hopefully Rook's visit is fun.
