Well, I think I’m finally getting over the lung infection (finally). I haven’t had nearly as many problems breathing or with chest pains this week as last, so I’m thinking that all the rest I’m getting is finally starting to pay off. Also, work is going a bit more smoothly, and I’m not feeling nearly as irritated with the world as last week (or the previous month or six). I am irritated at the five inches of snow we got yesterday, but it came off the steps to the house easily enough and was only sticking to three sides of the van, so there wasn’t as much to clear as there could have been.
There’s plenty of stuff that’s still irritating me though, but c’est la vie. For instance, there’s some messes with paperwork going on around here, and I still haven’t gotten a new computer for my office although there’s a new keyboard, monitor, mouse, and docking station for it sitting in boxes on one of my chairs. I just recently got a package here in the mail at the office, and I was all excited because I thought that maybe finally it was the answer key/test book for one of my texts (which, incidentally, I requested back in August), but it turns out that it’s a sample copy of a new French textbook that’s coming out and they sent me a preview…part of which is a Spanish CD and workbook. Someone screwed up there.
This evening I’m going to Knit Wits to crochet some then it’s back to the house for some food and hanging out with the husband. I’ve got a bunch to grade, but I think I’m going to leave that until tomorrow’s office hours. For now, it’s crochet time and idle chit-chat about pets and math. Huzzah! Laters.
Computers?:
Sounds like you have the opposite of our NMCI. Supposely we will get new system units in May but will have to reuse all other parts of our computer systems. I hope the blahs go away soon. Probably won't be until the weather warms up so it may be a while. At least there is a hint of sunlight while I'm driving to work but the time change in a month or so will take care of that.
Love, Dad
Lungs?:
That's never good. But I'm glad you are feeling better and enjoy your Knit Wits group!
