Madness!

Well, it’s that time of year again when shopping and wrapping and packing and cleaning are at an all-time, going-insane high. The husband and I are going to buy a few more gifts today–probably books–which I will then wrap upon coming home and then put under our tree. It has a respectable pile of goodies under it right now, I think. Admittedly, none of them are for us, but that’s beside the point. 😉 I think that there’s just the nephews on the in-law’s side to buy for plus something else for my sister-in-law whose name I got in the Doyle draw. The Flecks are going to come by next week and so we’ve got some random cleaning left to do such as the guest room and living room. Crazy!

I guess one thing I should be doing now that the semester is over is catch up on the rest of my life. I’ve barely checked any of my e-mail accounts in the past month (or two), I’ve barely read anybody’s pages in the past month (or two), and there’s craploads of stuff to do around here that I have been putting off for a long time now. We’re going to buy another file cabinet so I can put away more of my school stuff and magazines and writings and all that mess; we’re going to rearrange the den and living room to accommodate everybody; we’re going to put up another tree in the living room; I need to do laundry; we need to finish taking out the trash; we need to finish dishes (of course, I think Ian said there are like three left at the moment); and there are patches to put on the old couch. That reminds me, for some odd reason they’re in my satchel. Damn, and I was thinking about doing a TKT today. Not sure I’m going to have time. I mean, while I’m the only one with a working EQ account right now, I really don’t have time to play it at the moment. Gotta clean and crochet!

We’re going to go through our movies in alphabetical order again. It helps to keep me focused somehow. Don’t ask. So far we’ve watched Almost Famous and next up is American Beauty then American Psycho. Interesting mix, eh what? Well, time to crochet or clean something. I think the washer’s done.

    Madness is a good title:

I'm ready to be a kid again when all I had to do was go to sleep and all the gifts were there and the food made.
