It is now five to one in the morning. The title is neither a ratio nor gambling odds for those of you predisposed to think in such terms. I’ve decided to take a short break from grading in order to take a shower and give my brain a rest, so I decided to scribble out a post in the meantime. Random tidbits: our refrigerator has effectively frozen everything inside it including a jar of pickles and Ian’s nastea (Nestea, for some). Kitty has taken to jumping in the tub because the faucet has become flaky and doesn’t turn off all the way so she’s got a constant source of tap water. I took a picture. I’ve done six loads of laundry tonight and love the new washer. I still have two classes’ worth of papers to grade, my campus e-mail to check and documents to gather for my departmental evaluation folder thingamabob. I figure I’ll just stay up all night and pass out later in the afternoon once I hit the house since it’s the weekend. It’s not a big deal if I’m a bit braindead in class; the majority of the class period for each class will be eaten up by teacher/Basic Studies evaluation stuff anyway. I’m more concerned with the fact that I have yet to write the final for 202 nor have I begun grade calculations or filling out the Basic Studies forms required by the department at the end of each semester. Le sigh. And here I was hoping I’d have time enough soon to actually decorate the tree and maybe even get a new page layout like I wanted about a month or two ago. <Grumble grumble grumble> Meh. I think I’ll comb my hair now and then get back to grading. If I’m lucky, I might just get an hour or two of sleep in there before having to leave for work. Whee!
You need a TA!:
Don't you love people who quarterback your life for you? 😉 Good luck with everything!
TAs, Brownie Moms?:
Do these require about the same amount of effort to get work out of? As for the refrig, if reseting the temperature control doesn't help, it probably needs the freon checked. When the freon gets low the evaporation occurs in the wrong place and causes frozen spots. Can't control it. Hope you get through the next week ok.
Quarterbacking?:
Not sure what quarterbacking is, but I gotta agree with Dad; getting my work done through a TA would probably take as much work as getting it done myself unless I had a really awesome TA (like myself) who is a workaholic and OCD and a perfectionist. 😉
